No shit Captain Obvious DJ's gonna benefit when Kawhi comes back. The whole team will do including 50Mills.
As for now, Murray is still raw in talent and besides being lanky (which I dont know if it is a talent) and being able to rebound (sometimes to a fault when tapping his own misses at the rim). His defense in whole is not there tho' sometimes he shows flashes of an elite defender and then other times looks meh.
Another thing is that in the NBA a PG has to show the ability to SCORE consistently to put pressure on a defense. Right now Dejounte is nowhere that. But as a late round pick we don't have much to go on but hope.
I like this team's potential (when healthy) too.

Man, that trade looks like a good one for the Cavs so far. They're filled with athletic guys that are in that SF size range that you want. I think, if they jell defensively, they have the potential to be able to fly around the court and D up teams.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are filled with unathletic midgets. Who the fuck constructed this roster thinking it would do good/great outside of Kawhi and LMA.

Unless Bertans starts instead of Pau or Kyle, Green's going to be the only starter who should be giving the ball up to the point of dependence.
just watch the games

I’m just upset that they GAVE the Cavs a team (again). I remember a few years ago the Cavs were not going to come close to winning a title until they made that trade with Denver and NY and gave up basically nothing. And now here we go and they let them get away with an even bigger heist. I don’t care what anyone says, this team now can challenge GS on equal terms. Lakers must not want Lebron anymore because he might just stay if they win it now. Huge gamble.

Re: Official 2017-18 NBA Season Thread
with all the injuries we've had to the backcourt this year its really puzzling that white hasn't gotten time. but i think its safe to say pop's handling of young players tends to be the most frustrating aspect of his performance from a fan's perspective

Re: Official 2017-18 NBA Season Thread
Doc Rivers has done a better coaching job than Pop this season with mostly an inferior roster..
Watching even some lottery-bound teams run a more fluid offense than the Spurs' is the saddest basketball reality of 2018..

Re: Official 2017-18 NBA Season Thread
Heat should have stayed "moved on" from Wade...Don't think he adds anything to them at this point though he accepted a bench role..
And it is maybe time to start calling Winslow a bust? Dude has shown zero sustained development since entering league..

they need to get rid of him. I truly, really believe their inquiries at the trade deadline were about trading him.. but they likely got stuck bc teams asked for a 1st round pick, which considering the uncertainty may be valuable to them.. and the fact other teams also probably asked for Danny's expiring deal in exchange and didn't want to take on Mills.

Yeah, our first was probably a deal breaker in whatever trade they were discussing that involved Mills..Standings-wise, Spurs were dicing too close with the lottery to surrender that pick at the deadline..
PS..Ferrari 17 Points (7-12 FG) buried the Heat in 4th to lead the Embiidless Philly to a crucial win in the East playoffs race..

Something 50 hasn't pulled off for the spurs.
Sure he light up Phoenix when the team was already up 40+ points...

Half the Heat fans on RealGM were pimping him as the main piece in a LMA trade...
The other half thought he was way too valuable to give up for Aldridge. :lmao

Clippers about to beat the overrated Celtics. Without Kawhi, Spurs playoff chances are in serious jeopardy.

Lou Williams winning this game against Boston. He's terrible defensively, but so is Paddy... Lou > Paddy. Is also a real bucket getter and was reupped for $8 million a year.
paddy's deal keeps looking worse and worse.

The Clippers are walking proof that you don't need top shelf talent to win NBA games. Pop apologists. :lol

Honestly, a lot of their pieces are better.
Lou is better than any guard on this team, Teodosic is a better playmaker than anyone on this team, DeAndre is better than all of our bigs not named Aldridge, Gallo is better than any wing on our team not named Kawhi, Bradley is better than Mills, Harrell is better than Lauvergne, Tobias Harris would easily be the third best player on our team, and I could go on. :lol
