The Spurs are an elite defense without him (and Dedmon, who was carrying a bunch of the load on that end too). It's hard to act like he was covering for a bad defensive cast when they're doing just fine on that end without him. Obviously on offense, Kawhi DID shoulder a huge load, whether he had to or not. It still doesn't mean he should have broken down, though. His workload was not larger than that of most stars his age.Quote:
