Re: Where all the Pau haters?
:lol The same people who thought Rudy Gay was a poor acquisition...and Aldridge for that matter.
It's like they think anyone who isn't a 25-year-old superstar is a poor acquisition. Ungrateful bastards.

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
Pau has probably been the second best player on the team this year.

Definitely.
Kyle has been between 3rd or 4th depending on whether you ask early in the season or lately... he still gets a lot of hate here. A lot of ungrateful bastards.

Mixture of sustained success and the Big 3 effect. Every FA should be a part of a new Duncan/Parker/Ginobili tandem or they are garbage.

Kyle has been absolutely great. They'll regret not extending him. Even if he stays he'll be a lot more expensive. Kyle as a point forward passes the eye test.

He's going to be expensive. I expect him to do well in the postseason too. He already played well last postseason while having a lot less experience and confidence.
I thought considering that PATFO decided to extend Lamarcus, and give long term deals to Pau and Patty, that they plan to keep this team together. It became clear they weren't going for capspace next summer and a trade is now the only way to reshape the roster if they want to. Even if they wanted to trade him in the future, it was useful to have him under contract so I think a deal didn't get done because they penny pinched him hard... Now, they have to be ready for whatever comes their way.

I hate pau. I am a fan of rudy. Wait until the playoffs. He was like a 20 per in the regular season, then was shit. No one cares about what hes done 20 games in. Relax

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
Coming soon to a playoff series near you - The Incredible Shrinking Spaniard.
Every game he gets smaller...smaller...smaller.
And moment by moment, the terror mounts!

But he didn't. Any games after Kawhi going down doesn't matter. He showed up for the games that did.

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
team had trouble rebounding tonight. he wasn't showing much effort tonight. Maybe needs a rest game.
Team in trouble relying on Joff if Pau needs a game off. Hope I am wrong but haven't seen anything good of Joff yet (garbage time passes aside).

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
After the infamous -29 game....
Aside from the awesome defense.... he gave us 0pts, 1reb, 1ast, 0/4 shooting, and a -10 in 14 minutes

Hey, man! He waited a whole month for his next paycheck while he chilled in Spain and we looked for free agents! He deserved that 48 mill!
:lmao

I'll never forget that time somebody said "This contract is actually good for future free agents. They'll see we took care of Pau after he showed loyalty to us"
A 1yr player who passed you up for the Bulls got paid $48,000,000 for being loyal :lol
Edit: Found it

In addition to only playing 62 games with the team before he was considered "loyal".
At least over-the-hill FA's now know who to look to when they need a fat paycheck to end their careers. :lol

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
It’s alarming Pau can’t stay on the floor and is playing this poorly... In a game the team was understaffed in they got more out of Bertans and Joff than they got out of Pau.

We have to unload Pau, the occasional big to big pass is NOT enough

I expect Pop to continue to find ways to play him bc this isn’t Kyle or Davis, who Pop can bury in the deep bench at times. He’s signed for multiple years which is kind of the alarming part.
I have thought recently they mostly stand pat next summer but now I am not too sure. He’s had his good games on ocassion but is becoming a kind of situational player for which you just don’t pay $16 million
Well have to see I expect Pop to try to get him going some how.

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
I hope this clown is ashamed of his salary and retire at the end of this season

Funny how 1 week ago Pau was a top 3 Spurs Player

His 1.3PPG on 16% shooting week was bound to get someone to bump this.
He's still been mostly good this season, but his token starting role should end. As a LMA back-up and situational 2-center line-ups he's more than fine, especially when his 3 point shot is falling.

Re: Where all the Pau haters?
Pau the last 3 games: In 55 minutes, 2/12 FGA, 0/0 FTA, 0/1 3PA, 14 RB, 4 A, 1 BK, 0 Steals.
Constantly flat footed, on rebounds, loose balls, passes.
He might need a rest game. For his age, and I think he's one of the few guys who has not been rested.
Even Lamarcus rested the OKC game that Pop threw away earlier this month.
