Didn't realize Kawhi's had 40 point games yet. For some reason I thought Pop kept pulling him early before he could get to 40 lol.

Ton's first 2 games back have blown me away. A true, veteran PG makes this team look very different.
I am also thinking that 50Mills might ultimately be a big beneficiary of Tony's return. Get him back with the bench unit in a more familiar role. Well, I can hope, can't I?

Hard to believe since it seems you don’t like anyone in the roster...

I hope we don't have to rely on LMA to put up 40 to win in Memphis on Friday.

He likes everybody but Anderson and Tony, tbh.

i had forgotten about that appearance last game. I might have discounted it bc it was Messina and didn't think much of it. Messina ended up taking up reins in a game that Pop was halfway about to throw out.

A few miscues but ultimately great job taking care of business at home vs a team on the ropes. LMA truly has been a stud and what the Spurs are doing now we usually take for granted. They just win no matter what at an incredible pace (still on pace for 50+ wins with no Kawhi).
But the difference in these wins is we have OKC healthy and struggling to compare this to. Makes it really pop how good the Spurs are.
I can’t wait to get Kawhi back. The fact that SA has been a top 5 defense without Kawhi bodes so well. It will only improve with him and hopefully the offense will too.

Without our knowing... LMA ended up negotiating an extension... HIm getting happy was important to start the season.
also, this team has a lot of chemistry and seems happy to play together. spurs teams are always like that, but last years team had not coalesced like this. subjectively.

We do have to pump the breaks some. Spurs are doing very well all things considered but they aren’t beating all kinds of quality teams. They are winning the games they need to win without Kawhi but have struggled some with the higher caliber teams.

Definitely. It is a shame Kawhi is out because we could be looking at the best record in the NBA right now.

For sure. It might end up being a blessing in disguise though honestly. Lot’s of LMA confidence, Kyle getting lots of minutes, Rudy learning and learning to play high level defense in the system even without relying on Kawhi making it easier.
The offense has struggled some so the warts are there, but overall this could be a very good thing as a lot of guys have gotten quality minutes and if Pop has to rest kawhi there will be units that understand how to play with each other.
