the transition defense is what has me crazy... memphis takes a rebound and gets all the way to the rim without a guard stepping in.

Good pick up.
Even though Memphis has not scored big, the D has holes.

Yea def a good time to get him out of there. He's so in control out there. And as we saw he can still drive and finish in traffic. Good to get him time playing with both units, this is his first game with Rudy, so it's important for him to get better familiar

Saying this about a FMVP is not too smart, but then again Gilbert is likely unaware there are basketball games after April 15th.

Spurs' lack of rebounding irks me. Grizz already have 3 or 4 O-boards. They typically get out-rebounded, but they are beating us tonight.

Gay did a great job picking up Marc Gasol in transition and communicating with LMA to switch. Simple but important stuff

again guard play.. when there are a lot of jumpshots there are a lot of long rebounds if the guards aren't active.. they get outhustled. Again, I am not a fan of microlineups with 2 tiny guards.

I'll say this about Mills tonight: at least he isn't a defensive liability.

Re: Game Thread: Spurs vs Grizzlies -- Wed. (11/29) - 7:30/C (3:30am Riga Time)
Murray-- as bad as he looked recently-- should still be playing over Mills..

LMA with the hustle bucket. Nice!

it's crazy how different i feel about LMA now compared to over the summer

It's a shame bc to me, Manu is the one who has looked 40 and father time is catching up.
no matter.
there will be attrition, Tony and Manu will get their rest games and nags here or there bc father time is father time.
Murray needs to be ready. His leash is going to get short bc now they don't "need" his minutes, Forbes is playing over him so he's got to work on his game and be ready. He's not going to get a lot of opportunities from now on and has to make them count. If he doesn't well he's 21, there is going to be a next season.
