Quick turnaround as we're in PHX tonight to take on a 9-18 Suns team who have lost 7 of their last 9. Manu, Pau, and Tony are out tonight. Danny is listed as questionable. Devin Booker is out for Phoenix as well. Will be up to our young guys and LMA to carry the load tonight. Let's get it.
Maybe, but they're 9-18 on the season and missing their best player tonight.. no reason why we can't steal this one on the road tonight, even on a b2b. Won't be easy, but we can do it.
Wish the Spurs would've played Tony tonight; he could give it a go for 20 mins. If LDN is also out (most likely) this has the makings of a loss, but I didn't expect them to win both of these games anyway.
Seeing as how Manu was the hero last night and we're playing in PHX tonight, here's a throwback to his dominant road performance against them back in 2005 (almost 13 years ago!).
Gay/Bertans or Bertans/Gay
Paul/Gay or Gay/Paul
Aldridge/Lauvergne
Forbes/White
Murray/Mills or Mills/Murray
It made no sense that Hilliard and Costello weren't called up for the Thunder game and it'll make even less tonight if they're not. If this wasn't the exact scenario they were signed for, then why were they signed?

I have been saying that since that game happened....
I would like to find reasoning one way, or the other on decisions like this.
There has to be reasons, even if they're wrong. Or right...
I just cannot reconcile, at this moment, the reasons why.
I don't know. Hilliard I can understand not calling up because the team has way more guards than they can even find playing time for. I don't remember Derrick White playing that much in that game until basically the ending of the game and he's in an NBA contract and needs to play some, so it didn't make sense to call up Hilliard.
However, Costello should have been called up.
I have thought Pop just wanted to see a 3 big rotation in the second half of the OKC game and that was Joff/Kyle/Davis. They were going to get a beatdown with Adams in that game (Joff did at least, and fouled out too.) The last time Spurs played OKC b4 that game Pau got whacked in the head as Adams jumped over his back for a rebound (by the way, a foul wasn't called) and in the last 3 minutes of the 4th Q Kyle got hit in the face while trying to grab a rebound. Pop should have had Costello. I am thinking at the time Pop just wanted to give as many minutes as possible to Davis and JOff, who had not been playing much at all (Davis has only picked up minutes since that game after Kyle's injury, the irony). So I think it was a test of sorts for all 3. Still, should he have injuries or foul trouble what was he going to do? Exactly what he didn't plan for is what happened.
I am guessing for this one the gleaguers should be at the game. I hope for Spurs sake no one else gets injured.

Funny thing is they have tons of talent imo they just don't have a good coach. For example, if a guy like Brad Stevens had this team they would be halfway decent
You can see all the bad body language you want, but they're slowly starting to take control of the game. Spurs can't figure it out on offense and the Suns are realizing the Spurs aren't as good a defense with a lot of key defenders out.
