I am of the opinion that Pop wants his roster completely healthy when he faces the Dubs in the playoffs. Seeding be damned even it means facing them in the second or even the first round. So he will keep MVParker in the Horry protocols all year and once Kiwi is healthy will start alternating rest starts between him and LMA.
I don't care about playing the Warriors in the second round or the WCF. It doesn't matter to me when the Spurs face them since they are going to have to go through them anyways to get out of the West.
