Good news on QB Sam Ehlinger.
OrangeBloods reporting he has a Grade 1 shoulder sprain and minimal damage.
The goal is rehab all week, have him throwing by the end of the week and then he'll be ready for OK State in two weeks.
Hopefully lots of good Leach stuff this week.
First time ever going to Washington State.
FYI the staff should be hitting the road hard this week visiting high schools and watching games due to the bye.
We may see a few new offers, including some late-bloomers for the 2019 class who are currently being evaluated.
A couple quick thoughts from the game:
- As said before a win is a win, especially when your starting QB goes down early.
- Shane did just fine and is a very serviceable QB, we should be lucky to have him.
- Sam is more important to this offense than i gave him credit for, especially in the run game. As soon as he left Baylor loaded the box and dared us to pass.
- Collin is a beast.
- Defense won this game for us. Can Orlando get another raise??
- We looked gassed yesterday on D. The bye week couldn't have come at any better time.
- OK State is not a good football Team.
Hooke-em!!
OrangeBloods saying the official visitors are still on campus as of 3 p.m.
ATH Peyton Powell told them he doesn't plan on leaving Austin until this evening.
From UT on QB Sam Ehlinger...
"MRI results on the right shoulder injury sophomore QB Sam Ehlinger sustained in Texas’ 23-17 win over Baylor confirmed the Longhorn medical staff’s evaluation during the game, which was a first-degree shoulder sprain. Ehlinger will continue to be treated and evaluated as he rehabs and rests his throwing shoulder during the bye week."
OL LaDarius Henderson from Waxahachie is one who's been on the radar for a while now.
