Update on OL Branson Bragg of Crandall before his unofficial visit to UT this weekend (OrangeBloods):
“It will really be my first talk with (Texas offensive line coach) Herb Hand, face to face,” Bragg said. “He came to the school but that was just a couple minutes. So I’m really excited."
“One thing I really like is getting to sit down with O-line coaches and getting to watch film of players they have coached, looking at what they coach, what they emphasize. That’s what I’m really looking forward to with coach Hand, is just seeing what he really values, how he can make me better as a center.”
“It’s going to be slow. I don’t have any timetable,” Bragg said. “For a while I wanted to commit before this coming season but I’m really not sure now.”
“What I saw was really what I thought I’d see. It’s like you’re surrounded by greatness. That’s really how Stanford is,” Bragg said. “I think it would be a great option, it’s just the distance from home. There are some issues, but there are pros and cons with every school. That’s why I haven’t committed yet.”
“Texas, it’s the home-state school, it’s the school that my family is a fan of,” Bragg said. “And again, Herb Hand. I knew about him before he went to Texas, how he was one of the best offensive line coaches, if not the best. Then he moves to Texas, it’s a game-changer.”
