I'd be fine with the 5th seed and have them play Portland, think Spurs should/ would be favored. They'd also possibly avoid having to face the Warriors until the WCF. If Kawhi is healthy-who the hell knows- I'd give the Spurs a decent shot at winning a series against the rockets.
Spurs need to beat the Lakers and Griz and hope to go 1-2 during that 3 game road trip against OKC, Houston and GSW to not fall further down.
Minnesota could lose their five next games tbh; @Utah, Boston, GSW, @ Spurs, Houston (B2B) and the Clippers.
I expect the Spurs to finish above them in the standings.
