Attending the usa camp to stop the trade & get a better deal for the spurs wasnt the only way. All he had to do was relax his demands bout LA and not mention publicly he going there as an FA no matter what. Yet, he didnt. In fact he reiterated it . Thats not helping the spurs at all

Theres also a good chance spurs didnt want to wait for usa camp because

a. Raptors would take the offer off the table.. it was already reported . They pulled out earlier

B. Players like demar wouldnt like all the speculation.

C. Kawhis team thought pop would be interested in a face to face. Spurs after so many attempts had decided it was time to move on. Keep in mind there was no firm commitment to attend jud that he was thinking about it. Spurs had learned the hard way to take this group reporting with a grain of salt.
