Nah... may happen, but I'm hopeful to see the opposite.
Let's go DeMar!
I don't know why I feel like a fanboy right now, but I do.

The game in Toronto will be his only chance because you know Kawhi isn't playing in the game in SA. There will be some excuse for him to miss that game.

Nah. I can already see Pop giving Kawhi a big, grinning, post-game hug. That image is making me a little sick.

Fuck Kawhi for trying everything in his power to dog all things Spur related. Also, where is Kawhi's classy goodbye to the fans of SA? Ostensibly, the majority of our fans had his back until the very end. What a bitch!

He beta not. But Kawhi's too big a bitch to show up here and face the music anyway. I mean there's already proof he won't....look no further than his MIA at end of last season and playoffs.

Be funny if HEB trolled KL in the process. You know, "We have a new chef in the kitchen. The last chef took all the money to buy the groceries but never showed up" or something like that.

I never even considered him not saying anything to the fans. He may have had a problem with the organization, but darn, didn't even say thank-you to the fans. What an ungrateful person (didn't want to name call here) he turned out to be.

Lol. That would suck but it would be exciting to watch though. I have confidence our Spurs can still beat most teams in the NBA. I'm sure Pop and everyone else is motivated after last year's mess.

Considering Danny Green did - it should've put him on notice to say something similar but zip, nada, zilch.

There's something fundamentally missing in Kawhi's constitutional makeup. I don't know if it's something that he once had, and perhaps lost after he lost his father, but he was idolized here. He needed to acknowledge the fans of SA who gave him their unadulterated love, though. And the fact that he didn't, should tell you there's something amiss in Kawhi's head....as though his behavior here over the last year wasn't enough already, however.
I'm really sorry he lost his dad. That would suck the life out of most everyone. But he's still got to have a hint of appreciation for the City and its fans, regardless. I think someone got into his head, and just truly poisoned him on all things related to the Spurs, because at one point, he seemed happy enough.
Wonder if it was his wife, too, in addition to just his agency and uncle...???

Given that one outcome we get blown out and Kawhi kills us, yes it would be but the outcome we contain him and beat them handily would be the exciting factor. Anticipation for that would be exciting. There is no way around it that Kawhi is a super star but if the Spurs can beat the Raptors and equal their win total or come close to the Raptors it would show imo, that the Spurs were never as reliant on Kawhi as they were Duncan. Which would be a win in our books.
