Tottenham Hotspur
A glorious victory over Newcastle.
No losses or ties so far.
Perfection.
Except it wasn’t.
Liverpool will score goals this season.
MC is loaded.
Man U is forcing Mo to develop his young players or leave it seems.
Chelsea still was not great but they have got to be better.

Yea, I figured one would want London in the title for the sake of branding.

Pro Football
College Football
Basketball: college and NBA
Baseball
Hockey
Our best athletes in team sports don’t play soccer.
Its futile imo.
Thats part of the reason England is bad.
Rugby, and yes, Cricket, compete with soccer.
Then you Got Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina...
Its all about soccer.
Italy and Argentina have decent Rugby teams but England just slaughters them because of popularity.

Re: The EPLol official 2018-19 official thread
Tottenham 3 Fulham 1
Another glorious victory.
And... Harry Kane actually scored in August.
Player of the match for me, Kieran Trippier. Wonderfully placed free kick and a plethora of good crosses. The boy is slow, but got some leg/foot skilz. I honestly don’t know why teams don’t play up on Tripp’s to force him to dribble instead of giving him space for crosses. His volley crosses may be the best in the world. But he is limited physically.
The subbing of Dembele and Lamela broke the game open. Pooch gets a + for subs. Also Lucas Moura looks to fit in very nicely with certain combos.

This is is not a recent development.
They are in London. Have been before the EPL was born in the 90s...
And there are tons of lower level teams that have been close to getting top division.
Again, London is a large city.

That's not the point. You put London in your title, you suddenly become a potential powerhouse from a global marketing perspective; that's how it often works, anyhow. E.G. Barcelona, Madrid, Paris St. Germ. etc. Even in GB, I think Manchester United, Manchester City, and Liverpool have built-in advantages from a marketing perspective. Perhaps in some cases, the locals like the differentiation otherwise though.

The are in the city limits of LONDON.
And many don’t have the name London in their name.

Man U was completely awful.
Beaten by the mighty Brighton Seagulls. 3-1
Mourhino’s choices at central defenders were awful. His board gave him these two, and not much else... they stunk today.
Big game next week v. Tottenham

Still catching up on games. Watched a couple today while working. South Hampton and Burley is the first scoreless match of the eight or nine I've watched. More because the offenses were a bit toothless; but it's refreshing to see a clean sheet here and there.

watch the wolves vs mancity game, lol mancity defense, as for wolves if they challenge in the air through the set pieces, they wouldve won the game instead of a draw, they had mancity on their feet all game who did nothing...
watch the shitsenal game last night is like watching a bunch if clowns learning to play
one thing i found from both games, if you have a guy who can run with the ball attacking the defense aka 1 man team ballhog, u can either win/draw easily...

Tottenham taken apart by speed.
So slow.
Gonna be tough in the Champions league.
Kane has no speed right now and our midfield is mud without Deli Ali.
Started Dier AND Dembele... They got overrun.
Rose is so bad now. Depression, injuries, no confidence.
Eriksen is all alone.
We need a 3 week break.

Mou's fall from grace has been tremendous, considering his stock was so high in the 00's. The game really passed him by.
He loses locker rooms, that's to be expected with is coaching style but in the past he always used to pull off some amazing 1/2 years runs (treble with Inter, points record with Real, back to back Chesea PL titles). Nowadays he can't even do that before everything goes to shit.

Giroud is playing the perfect link up forward for Hazard and the rest. This has made Chelsea very effective on offense in a much different way than MC or Liverpool. However their D is very vulnerable. Southampton missed a wide open tap in and has had their moments hitting the bar and such.
They clearly have a chance if this very effective offense can continue. The last minute score by Liverpool to tie the game couple of weeks ago is a worrisome illustration of their D. Long way to go, should be interesting.

MC's designated penalty kicker is Aguero and he was subbed out by Jesus. They don't really have another reliable taker other than De Bruyne who is injured. And no, Jesus is just as bad as Mahrez at taking penalties so he was not an option.
Mahrez also missed a half open net 20 minutes prior when he sailed a kick whistling past the right post. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Getting a point in Liverpool still a win. The injury to Milner was a godsend for them. Salah not scoring, too.

No.
Its really not.
When you get a penalty (deserved) and miss...
3 points. You can say that before the game. But no sane MC fan should be happy with one point AFTER the game.
