It has cheapened the product greatly which sucks because this is my favorite sport and these are some of the best athletes in the world. Let them fucking play. Jesus.
By the way do you remember after one of the Spurs win in the series, Avery Johnson had the temerity to whine about officiating during the postgame conference. I mean I could've punched him I was so ticked he could clamor for even more calls for his team. And I still can't believe the Spurs retired this guy's jersey (and they didn't allow Manu to wear #6 in 2002 because of him).
I have a feeling in 5-10 years I'm going to go on a rant about the 2012 and 2016 Okcheat series too on here.

I知 not sure which series that it was, but Dallas got ninety seven FTs in the first two games. NINETY SEVEN!

And yet Pop did NOTHING to defend his team and players to the media when this atrocity happened. Any other coach (Larry Brown, Phil Jackson) would have defended his team and called out the media. This is one of the reasons I say the Spurs underachieved. Pop cared more about looking classy than he did getting his team in a position to get better calls during the series.

I don't recall that but wasn't watching the team closely in those days. He was a character guy and that's the main reason his # was retired . I don't think it shouldve been. Nor Bruce.

Pop did not lobby for calls or complain about ref bias. I think he should have. One of my buddy's biggest beefs with Pop.

Exactly. I wish he viewed the NBA and it's cronies the same way he views Trump.

I do believe a team like the Warriors will have chemistry problems once they are finally dethroned due to all the big egos they have.
do you really think a guy like Tim would allow that to happen?

Sounds like the 2003 WCF.
Game one Dallas shot 49-50 from the FT line:

Those old stat lines are pretty fascinating tbh. even seeing who was reffing. Just to think that last year Spurs had two of those players still on the roster, after 15 years. Those players all seem old as hell.
