Re: 2 guys who already don’t belong on the roster
Not surprised about Gay... Always takes one year to get back and talent was never in doubt. That trade may look better and better with time passing and Jak.
Briniging back Ferrari was a good idea, he will be precious, the kind of guy you can rely on from the bench and fit in with the starters if needed. He'll even win you some games with a smart play or a 3. And with so much coroporate knowledge gone this summer, he's bringing a bit back some.
This team will win some games. In the RS at least.

White just started a little shy, when he shook off the jitters he proved what he can do against NBA competition.
This is a promising young prospect, no reason to put him down just to justify the coach playing other guys over him, tbh.
:lol he got the ball stolen multiple times.
I've been high on White from the start and have said he will play (:lmao @ your whining when Forbes came out first) but I'm not going to make excuses for him just because I like him.
Your agenda has been set for awhile. I expect nothing less from you.

I think Pop actually encourages people to voice up their takes. Pavlov may actually not like Forbes privately but damn if he's going to back down from going in circles over nada.
I think your passive aggressive posting is cute.
Forbes is what he is. I said exactly what I think will happen this year because DAF wouldn't stop whining about it.

I'm sure that the rest of us would gladly change our opinion about Forbes if he actually starts playing well and stops being a net negative player all across the board.
I already told you what I think would happen and you haven't stopped whining about it. White has an even better chance since Pop is trying him at the point.

Considering his size, youth, and contract I'm fine with giving him a pass for a year. Even then he is on a minimum type contract so maybe he can grow more afterwards. If the ball movement is good and everyone else is hitting 3's and he isn't, then we know. If he is losing important games for us then, that is more Pop's fault but people cliff jump too early. I imagine their will be a shorter leash for him this season because of the amount of options Pop now has at the 1 and 2.

Re: 2 guys who already don’t belong on the roster
Long story short: White's a player with some real potential for this team and should be treated as such.

White just needs to be comfortable playing with the better players in the NBA. Certain moves that worked well in G-league will not translate. He lost the ball when surrounded by the defense, he shouldn't be taking the risk of driving into traffic. This means, he needs to read the defense better.
Forbes is really just one dimensional. A modern day Steve Kerr.
lol, Today's Kerr would beat the shit out of Forbes, the fuck you talking about, son?!

Re: 2 guys who already don’t belong on the roster
Forbes is a mini me Bonner, tbh. Pop feels incomplete without having one non nba player on the roster every year. He'd feel weirder without one than being without any of the Big 3.

Honestly, I think he's a good depth player but doesn't at this point look worthy of a rotation spot ahead of other prospects in the team. He probably will be fine and not hated at all if he was among the 11th to 13th in the rotation. Such guys usually end up playing a lot anyways bc of injuries, foul trouble, etc. He's good enough for that. If he's a rotation player, I think fans are going to be disappointed unless he was much better than what we have seen. It's just the one game, and preseason, so I chill for now.

Bonner was 10x the player Forbes is. OK, maybe 3x.

What you think will happen has nothing to do with people's opinion about Forbes' game, so I don't know why you bring that up.
You are implying that if Forbes suddenly starts playing well, people will keep hating on him because they have their minds already set, and that's bullshit. You act as if people hate on Forbes because they don't like his face or some shit like that, when in reality it's just because he hasn't proved to be very good yet, tbh.
We are all Spurs fans here, if Forbes suddenly starts helping the Spurs get W's you will see a lot of people change their opinion about him.

And if my boss gave me a million dollars tomorrow that would change my opinion about him too, tbh.

Pretty much this. Young players need court time and an opportunity to play through mistakes and jitters. White has the potential to be solid, if not very good, third guard or 6th man but let's drop him cause a crafty, veteran, future HOF'er got the better of him a few times....

As your perceived impediment to White of course he is relevant. Don't be disingenuous on top of having an agenda.

What would my agenda be, wanting the best players to play so that the Spurs can do as good as possible?

Your agenda now is playing White over Forbes regardless of anything Forbes may do. Your agenda was going to be bringing up Manu every time White didn't play but White played and ruined it for you.

Well, you are wrong.
If Forbes starts contributing and stops being a net negative all across the board (lol suppossed shooting specialist being a net negative even on offense :lol) I will start prasing him; untill then, I will keep on commenting just how undeserved his rotation minutes are.
The same the other way around: if White finally sees consistent minutes and he dissapoints, I will call him out.
There are no more Argies on the roster son, folks shouldn't keep thinking I have ulterior motives for stating the opinions I state, tbh.
