His point was that it doesn’t matter they aren’t here and that he fully expects the team to be strong defensively. Not sure how this comment somehow became he sounds like a jilted boyfriend. The reality is I’m sure many on team are still pissed about last year so who cares if Murray lets it be known and I didn’t even think he was directing any message to Kawhi. Murray is competitive as hell and I’m sure in his mind he believes that he can carry this team to another title so yeah, he dismissed Kawhi & Danny in the process.

I wish I could watch the video. Won't load. But from what I assume since he's a trill ass mofo, good on him. And good on the Spurs from moving on. Let's get it

I really like this new attitude from Murray. He'll probably end up being my fav Spur this year but I'm not convinced he's a point guard. I think Spurs would be better off having him transition over to being a Danny Green replacement at shooting guard while searching for a true playmaker for the future of the franchise.

He'll be missed even if he wasn't/isn't a great one - on - one defender.
Also, I think Blossomgame can make up for the loss of Anderson at least as a team defender. It may take a year on a two - way deal for him to learn more, continue to develop a three - point shot and gain Pop's trust. He has the physical traits and athleticism to be a plus defender in the NBA.
Permaban this casual.

Pop is going to trade for ZaZa and have him suit up in time for the game. (it's ok to joke he ain't a Spur no more). Kawhi's nickname is the claw and ZaZa's nickname is the foot.

I've moved on," is a weird answer. On the other hand, it would be a fine answer if someone asked, "Hey did you see what she said about you on Facebook?" The implicature of the former situation suggests at best a dogged determination to shut down any line of questioning that mentions the GF or more likely a tremendous amount of butt-hurt under a thin veil of feigned nonchalance. I actually think Murray is closer to just wanting to move on than he is still upset about the situation. He wasn't really on the team long enough to really feel like Kawhi betrayed him personally. But way he answered the question calls that into doubt, especially for people who haven't followed Murray much. That's why I think he needs to refine his phrasing better.
i can’t watch the video but IIRC he said “They’re gone. Who cares?” before he even heard the entire question. So when he heard the names I think he said it because he knows they have to move on.

You're correct. The answer didn't really apply to the question, no more than my example with the ex and the rent from above. Like, sure, I get that you moved on, but you've still got a problem to deal with that the reporter was actually asking about.

Re: Dejounte on loss of Kawhi: "They're gone. No one cares."
It’s not like he has a good role model in Pop when answering reporters questions. Nevertheless, he’s pretty engaging in his answers generally when handing questions. As soon as he heard Kawhi’s name, he abruptly put an end to that discussion and it probably wasn’t becaused he’s still pissed but more so that he has turned the chapter and is done with anything Kawhi related. Nothing was wrong with his answer.

It wasn't Green or Anderson holding out all season. Danny didn't ask to be traded. Tony would have stayed had the Spurs committed to him. Anderson was trying to get paid. Had the question been something like, "Have you been watching Leonard's performance this pre-season? He looks pretty healthy to me," Murray saying he doesn't care is great. But as an answer to a question about how the defense moves on after losing so many defenders, it feels thoughtless. I think the Spurs should have a chip on their shoulder this year, so the abrasiveness probably works. He just needs to work on his phrasing to make it come off as determined rather than sore.
Right but Murray's point is that they're not a part of the team anymore, so let's talk about who is. I think that's just his way of trying to get the local media to move on from asking him about it. I like his attitude he's got a winning edge about him.

I like the answer but wish he would stop doing those faggot videos with that slut with the ass. You're a young millionaire now, pussy is cheap and easy to come by. No need to humiliate yourself for her like that.

In the NBA, you a brotha until you not a brotha.
Murray does need a lot of brotha's because he's the Spurs' only connection to the outside world.
