Another angle I could see panning, is Jr being in deep shit too. He doesn't have the protections of his father. At that point there's many different scenarios that could take place, from Don cutting a political deal to step down in exchange for him and his family walking away to hoping he's still president at the time of conviction to issue pardons.

Then again, until the investigation yields some results, there's no point in entertaining a lot of this stuff.

trump will not run in 2020 because he will take the deal to save his criminal spawn

he will get indicted after he is out of office

I'm not 'hopeful' any of that happens. Unlike djohn, I don't see a direct path to impeachment regardless of what the investigation finds out. Just pointing out a potential avenue where Don could be pressured to resign, and granted, is a long shot.
