Game Thread: Spurs vs Warriors — Mon. (3/18) - 7:00/CST (2:00am Riga Time)
The most difficult game of the season, tbh. The Dubs have that killer look in their eyes again after getting embarrased by the Suns and are bringing back a familiar face to likely play some key minutes tonight in Andrew Bogut. Cousins is questionable with an ankle injury, though. Regardless, winning tonight would be the most impressive of the season. Let's pull off the upset, everyone!

Cousins being out is bad news, tbh. They're more difficult to beat without him -- especially for the Spurs.

These aren't the Warriors of the past few years, they're vulnerable this season. Dubs 150 Spurs 75.

I'm looking forward to this game. Just to see where we stand against the top dawgs. Even if we win, i still would not want to play them in the 1st round. I hope we are able to avoid them at all cost.
But we'll see.

I disagree. When Cousins has a good day, it's game over. We'll probably see some tricked-up 3-2 zone with Aldrige and Poeltl, which is suicide if Boogie plays. But has a lot of potential against a no-center team.
I am curious to see if White will constantly attack Curry on offense, and if Thomson will guard Marco or Bertans, he is a super defender but not so mobile on long cuts away from the ball, Marco could get him tired (Iguodala not playing leaves not that many defensive options to Kerr).
Hopefully Gay can post up KD and bang him sore.
The real challenge will be for DDR on defense, he will be exposed naked, that's why I expect the zone and in this context, Boogie's absence is very positive.
Or maybe the Dubs just go nuts and score 25-35 from 3.

Can Durant be one more game out, or at least on a minutes restriction? Please.

Cousins was also dominant on both ends 5 days ago against the Rockets, too.

Sure but that won't stop Curry and Thompson from taking turns ass-ramming Mills and Forbes and giving both of them a Dirty Sanchez, tbh. The key tonight will be if LMA and DDR can dominate and take us home with White and Gay being x-factors.

This looks like a pivotal game for the Spurs.
A win could propel them through the rest of the season.
A loss might start another skid -- especially for such a streaky team.

I have noticed that Eubanks has been pretty solid in the spot minutes he's played. Kind of reminds me of a more defensive David Lee. Wonder if he'll get some minutes to shine tonight.

For all we know, the team probably already thinks he's logging heavy minutes by confusing him with Poetl. Shit, they might think he's Gasol and that's why he's not playing.

Right on, bro! But tbh, I wouldn't have raised this issue had my placing the PST of tonight's game not been mysteriously removed by the mods. That's two or three times it's happened to a game thread I've started. I don't mind if no one else does it, but if a PST person puts it on the game thread, I don't think it's right to just remove it for no reason.

I completely agree. No reason to remove the PST. Next time you do a game thread, skip Riga Time, put PST in the parenthesis and give the mods what they want which is CST as the main time.

Hoping Coach Roster Maker will have White on one of them so that will leave a shrimp on shrimp to guard Curry.
Yeah that could get ugly.
I will say of all the Spurs opponents Craig Pop has fairly consistently played Golden State well. Including some really good wins, culminating with the Game 1 WCF win. (put a line thru the win.) I just wish he had some street smarts as you could see Zaza going goon from a mile away.

Since we're splitting hairs, it really should be PDT (vs. PST) that is in parenthesis.

I used to always check ST to get the time of the game cause Riga time and Athens time is the one and the same :lol
But in late March when half the planet has daylight savings and the other half doesn't it's safer to also check the ESPN schedule cause it automatically fixes the gametime to where you live

You didn't hate this team before that? I've hated this team ever since Draymond, tbh. And when Curry all of a sudden went from decent, injury prone player to megastar, arrogant player who showboats like there's no tomorrow.

Warriors drafted two extremely good shooters and a DPOY.They won a championship with that core,a lot of luck with opposition injuries and a bit of a ref whistle. The faggotry and softness of that team was undeniable but so was their talent.
But it was the Durant signing that made the basketball world to flat out hate on Golden State. It's the most unfair, despicable, critisized, pussy move of all time.May the stigma of Durant taint the Warrior's rings for decades.
