Pop staying after to tell the refs 'that was a bullshit call'

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Too bad that Bertans missed a ton of his shots, or else the outcome could have been different...

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
That call on DeMar was bullshit but the way he responded was absolutely embarrassing. Turnovers, forced fadeaways, blocked shots. He was trying to get back at the refs/Harden and instead he ended up being a fucking disaster.

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Is 5/6 seed really even that much better than 7th?

17 to 32 fta
Bertans 1 of 10
Harden 61 pts
Demar's frustration gets the best of him... again
Nice comeback by Spurs with a hideous ending. Harden a regular season beast, shame he always under performs in the playoffs.

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Forbes has balls the size of skittles. Red hot James harden bringing up the court and Forbes literally just leaves him for an open 3 didn’t want any part of it. Rudy literally looked at him like you’re fucking stupid.
-
Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Forbes should have taken the clutch 3 and not the ice cold bertans.

Can't disagree.

Absolutely. Harden comes back to hit the three. Then DD does a soft shot and misses. Then Harden hits the three. If DD gets the call, Spurs are up 8. You all of a sudden feel confident. It's a disgusting call because you just penalise and natural normal shot. That shit must just get into your head.

Now the league and the casual fans are jerking off to hardens performance

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Yes refs robbed us by changing the momentum but this Demar ain't gonna cut it in the playoffs. At this point we might as well target the Dubs and have a fast and painless elimination.

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Better closeout vs. Spurs:
McGrady 2004 (13 points in 33 seconds)
Harden 2019 (61 total, MVP-level flop)
???

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
:toast to Derrick White, though. What a player he's become.

Re: Game Thread: Spurs @ Rockets Fri. (3/22) - 7:00/C (3:00am Riga Time)
Even with all the things the Spurs did wrong tonight, the Rockets took 15 more FTA than the Spurs, and made 9 more of them. That one bullshit foul on Harden's flop was a 6 point swing. Without that one call, it's a different end game.

It did get into DeRozan's head. Can't deny that. At that point, it was still the Spurs' game to lose.

Can't watch yet but seeing Demar close games to lose so many this season is jus as demoralizing. No joke, I can't remember seeing this many games in the balance go against the spurs.

I think only the best can work their way through something like that. We have been spoilt with manu and TD making on the fly adjustments. And even Manu has done more bad than good like game 6. We see players like AD just settle with 3s when the game is on the line. DD just isn't that type of player that can adjust to such a terrible decision. He just took a normal basketball shot. Not terribly aggressive. He made the shot and got called for an offensive foul. His next shot was soft. He back off. Took a semi open shot and missed. When the game is on the line and you get penalised for making a normal play, there are few players that can overcome that.

It happens, and that's the worst way for it to happen.

Yeah and how 'bout those moving screens. Harden will get fined for his flop and gladly pay it.
