Spurs in 6 :flag:
8th seed won't play Nuggets. We need to win out and hope OKC loses a game to get back to 7th.

So the guy who is always nasty and rude in interviews is suddenly all smiles and laughs after this train wreck? If I was him, I'd fire myself.
More of the tired old bullshit about how they made shots and we didn't. Denver didn't just make shots. They made uncontested shots, and layups, and dunks. Denver had 41 AST on 47 fucking FGM. And the Spurs didn't just miss shots. They were inept too much of the time, and had to struggle to get even mediocre looks. The fact that Malone actually bothers to talk to the reporters like human beings is just a little bonus disgrace on Pop. I've never heard him conduct an interview with as much class as Malone was before Pop showed up.

Re: Salute to Pop for making history..
I can't stand listening to Popovich interviews. And it's not just his Bill Murray Chicago accent but the way every reporter sounds like an incompetent dunce stuttering over their questions to him.
That one guy should've also provided the second "fact" of him being tossed twice in three games. I'm sure also a record anyone will be hard pressed to match

I enjoy Pop interviews nearly as much as the game tbh.

Any time you chase down a ref and continue ranting at him for 10 seconds after receiving a first tech, you're asking to be tossed. He knows that damn well.
It was a loss regardless, but I'm sick of this asshole gifting 2 points to the opponent from his little tantrums. You're supposed to be helping your team, Gregg, not hurting them. Do your fucking job.

Not Draymond. He does it all the time.

Popovich stopped doing his job after the 2014 Championship. He’s the epitome of a Mack Brown without his Vince Young (Tim Duncan). The organization is just filling his retirement accounts at this point while being in pergatory of 1st round exits and no lottery picks.

It's a heated job, some refs can take it, some can't. These two weren't having it last night. It appears that Pop didn't do anything too crazy, just showing aggressive emotion by yelling at them. Who knows maybe Pop called them both faggots, it just didn't seem too bad judging from the incident and the comments he made crashing Malone's presser

You need to start posting more tbh

Re: Salute to Pop for making history..
Pop just letting em know...
C'mon Malloy and crew tried to gift the Hawks the last game,it was more obvious a fix than usual tbh.
NBA has let it be known they want Spurs in 8th to be swept by GS..
NBA doesn't want OKC getting swept by GS
OKC has way more marketable stars/BSPN drama queens in Westbrook and PG...
Gotta keep them in the mix as long as possible
Refs have been choking on the whistle for the Spurs big time since the ASB
Pop just venting and rightly so
Jokic was allowed to manhandle LA last time

are you one of those people that drives around with a UT, Spurs, Cowboys, and Astros emblem on your car? Probably a batman symbol too

Re: Salute to Pop for making history..

I don't know why this board disrespects the Nuggets so much. There is little chance the Spurs will beat the Nuggets in a series. The Spurs don't win on the road. The Nuggets don't lose at home.
Derozan has been MIA for months. Gay has really been mediocre. Even White doesn't look interested right now.
This team barely beat the Cavs and the Hawks. Got thumped by Denver and embarrassed by Sacramento again. All with seeding on the line. Not a good look headed to the playoffs.

Please, please tell me that we haven't devolved to the point of comparing everything Spurs to Steve Kerr and Draymond Green.
I've joked around about this subject, but Pop getting ejected wouldn't have changed a damn thing about the outcome of that game. Maybe a 23 point beatdown would have felt better than a 28 point beatdown?
Pop is a Class A dick in interviews. It's an entertainment business, and they all know that interviews are part of the package. The reporters shouldn't know as much as him, otherwise they'd be getting paid millions to be coaches. So he's not proving shit with his nasty responses except that he's not nearly the social giant he pretends to be.
Crashing another coaches interview to make "funny" comments to show that he didn't really deserve to be kicked is just low class. "Somebody must have gotten hit. Did somebody get hit tonight?" No, Pop, somebody was a dick to a guy with a whistle. Own it.

Yep. That was my exact thought when PopaGOAT got tossed.

Re: Salute to Pop for making history..
Well, Gaymond can go fuck himself for eternity. Just because he gets away with shit doesn't mean that should be the new standard. He should be ejected every time he does that shit, just like Pop does.
-
Re: Salute to Pop for making history..
Pop didn't deserve to get ejected, but holding him to the same standards as Draymond Green is laughable:lol
-
Re: Salute to Pop for making history..
Refs are going too far with the shitty calls.
They are acting like they own the show, main reason why NBA is a joke, fuck them.
