You're right about the same 14% chance for the three worst teams. I was looking earlier, and it looked like the Cavs could win their last 3, and the Bulls lose their last three and they wind up tied. I don't' know how the tiebreakers work in the new system, but dropping from 3 to 4 would be a giant-sized disaster. Not only would it give them less of a shot at 1, but it also increases their chances a LOT of winding up with 5,6, or 7.
I'm not arguing with what you're saying. But if there's even a tiny chance of them dropping from 3 to 4, they will be doing whatever it takes to lose their next one. It's all about that tiebreaker, and I just don't know.

That and the #15 makes me think some of those #22 jerseys might actually be Splitter. Or maybe it's just an old photo. I forgot who wore #25 in those days.
James Anderson...
15 was expected to be Leonard's number, but Kawow chose #2.

:tu I had already double checked the "tanking" standings earlier and saw they were pretty much locked in the bottom 3.The Bulls who were their only 'threat" for the 14% had already won the season series 3-1 so they win (or lose practically) that tiebreaker.
So the Cavs are not tanking at the moment, like the Wizards were tanking today. But Dallas may be tanking the last game in San Antonio for a roughly 40% chance to keep their pick in the 2019 draft.

Coach Bud learned from Pop about resting his super stars once you've clinched the #1 spot in the NBA. Hopefully it works out and the Bucks kick Golden State's ass.

And Nephew's along the way.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure that the tiebreaker for teams tied at the end of the season is a random drawing. That's what all the sources I've seen say. I think I saw it on an official NBA document, but I didn't find it quickly and it's just not that important to me.
BUT... if it really is a random drawing, the Cavs can't afford to take any chances.

Haven't looked it up specifically, but the Bulls chance at the 14% officially ended yesterday cause Cavs lost to the Warriors and are now at 61 L's.
Bulls at 57 L's with 3 games left so it doesn't even matter anymore.

Yep. It's over now no matter what. And I'm pretty sure the Cavs didn't have to tank against GSW. :)
Just for future reference, this is an article from last year. I don't think they've changed the draft pick tiebreaker method, but they did make lottery changes, so I'm not 100% sure.

OMG, you just have to be a bitch, don't you? I was trying to throw out an olive branch, but the fact is you were wrong. The tiebreaker IS a random drawing, and not decided by the regular season record. And if you thought about it for just a minute, it would be the team that LOST the regular season record that should get the better draft pick, shouldn't it? They don't award the better pick to the better team, they award it to the worst team.
I don't know if the Cavs were tanking last night, and I really don't give a flying fuck. You were wrong, and I was wrong for not just rubbing your nose in it.

And i agreed.Cause they didn't look like they were tanking the game. How the fuck am i supposed to know what you meant?
Didn't bother to check your link, since it's irrelevant at this point, but if you're right, cool, thanks for the info.
It's draw not record? My bad.Enjoy your weekend
:tu
Edit: Well shit Juice, went back and read the post exchange again and i'm the one to blame on this one.
You thought i was going the bitch move way of not accepting i was actually wrong about the draft.I don't do that.
I was honestly lost in translation a bit and didn't get what you meant. And I really skipped checking the rules you posted and understood completely wrong what you said about the Cavs-Dubs game.Anyways.:toast

I am actually feeling better about it with Clippers losing to the Lakers last night. We have a path out of the 8th spot that starts with winning out.

I meant, since the Bucks will hopefully beat the Dubs in the Finals that in an earlier round hopefully they'll beat Leonard's Raptors (i.e. Nephew's team) enroute to the Finals.
Thanks on the sig!:tu

Got it. I'd love to see Coach Bud and the Bucks beat the arrogant Warriors.
