It's better than a demoralizing loss though I guess.
:lmao "fans" in meltdown mode after stealing game 1.
This place never ceases to amaze.

Did you see Curry shooting tonight? Fuck me, the guy is just ridiculous. And that kind of shooting just opens the floor up for everyone else. Move that one player to this Spurs team, and they are favorites instead of scurrying to get out of the first round.

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
He's into being a "crip" (gang nonsense). Guy is obviously dumb as hell, but so is LaMarcus. Never seen two guys who could get ready points in the paint every time and yet choose not to try. Certainly not two on the same team.
But hell, it's not like we can replace them.
Gotta play their goofy, bad-shot-loving asses.

That's 90% of the NBA, tbh...

He's taking too many shots if he's taking more shots than more efficient players like White and Gay.

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Tbh Gay almost cost the game with his lack of focus down the stretch.

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Classic ugly playoff win. Thanks to White and Forbes.

I find it hard to believe that Nurse would put himself in a bad position to win on purpose, considering Kawhi's recent behavior. Kawhi might just be making the call about his minutes or maybe it's just a management decision to try to keep Kawhi.
Also the Magic struggled to reach the playoffs until the end. They should be capable of beating the Magic without playing Kawhi too much. Add to that Lowry's 0% fg night.
It might be on the coach, but I'd think not because of Kawhi's minutes and we have to consider Lowry's performance too.

DDR seems to rely a lot on dribble and footwork, instead of being able to just take his man to the basket.
LaMarcus will have a hard time bullying Jokic like he does with other big men of this era. When he went for Milsap he was quickly doubled. I think he rushed some shots maybe just trying to get his offense running.

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Admit it, it was more about Nuggets beating themselves than Spurs winning it. Even with Demar bricking shots, it was still Murray who outbricked him

Well if the coach is being incompetent, I don't think him doing it 'on purpose' is the issue tbh. Nurse has been terrible at rotations the whole year and this was a concern for the playoffs (over-rotating). You gotta tighten your rotation and play your best players - this is why they rested Kawhi all year...I thought.
The Magic had a top 3 record in the NBA since the ASG, so they're not going to lie down. And yes...Lowry is horrendous (as usual in the playoffs). Like I said in the game thread, trading for Conley if possible would've been worth the extra year. :lol

I stand corrected.
But seriously, they really need to re-evaluate having KDR on the floor the last 5 min. (KDR=Kirby DeRozan)

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Wtf is wrong with all these ddr/spurs - HATERS???
you arent getting kawhitter back - and if you did - he sucks now
ddr is at least a loyal soldier - he didnt betray a franchise to come here and get shit on for the crime of being one of only two consistent scorers on this average team
he aint perfect but you gotta count your blessings and the trading position that - that piece of shit mute cancer put the spurs in - forced the spurs to at least get a reliable scorer — think f where this offense would be with only lma
as a consistent scorer
you idiots remind me of those virgin jerkoffs who hang out at the 7-11 on a saturday night
talking shit about getting “fine ass pussy”
nice win spurs!

This was funny as fuck! Lol. I'm just glad we won. Don't care how we did it.

DDR is ultimately a net negative that we’re paying $27 mil a year for. I’d rather divide his inefficient chucker shots between Forbes, White and shit, even Mills.

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Also as bad as DeMar played, he at least wasn’t as bad as Kyle Lowry lol:rollin
-
Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
Bench DeRozan, a player who had a ‘bad’ game but still gave us 18/12/6 outing, for who? Marco, Walker, Mills? This thread is to hate on DeRozan because he is somehow stunting Whites growth. White is a role player and without LMA or DDR he couldn’t do the things he does now.

Not going to lie, Conley-LDN-Nephew-Siakam-Gasol would've been filthy af and a true "all in" approach.

Why do you think Pop keeps going to DeRozan in the clutch instead of giving the ball more to Rudy?

Re: Bench DeRozan for the remainder of the playoffs
I wish they would run pick and roll with DEROZZ more he has the speed and athleticism to get to the rim easy it is either open or he gets doubled and he has to pass to open man. He gets into trouble when he just gets ball and tries to back his defender down it has not worked well all year he is much better when he is not trying so hard to create offense.

That's the thing though: We have seen Demar be crafty and quick enough to get to the basket/get fouled, he just literally doesn't realize that should be his priority.
As for LaMarcus, yes, he sucks at double-teams and was rushing to avoid defense being in position.
Overall, it's good to know that we got a win without being at top performance. If these two settle their nerves/pay attention, we can compete on paper with any of the other teams.

It's his first year in the Spurs system. Give him time and trust the FO to take care of this. Or are we also gonna blame the FO too for whatever reason? Seems like a lot of nitpicking and blaming being tossed around even after every win. Let us not be an ungrateful bunch.
