Re: Spurs 2019 offseason thread
Spotrac gives Gay's cap hold as $13,113,360.
Glad to see Spurs interesting in bringing back Dedmon. He's a great stretch 5. And would complete our front court. Still have a by-committee situation at the 3, though.

Renounce rudy, trade Bertrans/belli, sign bogo and aminu

Re: Spurs 2019 offseason thread
They're not renouncing Rudy, or making any trades. They're going to sign a 30+ year old, slow combo forward or guard and call it an off-season.

Nah. Can't imagine him leaving the Warriors at this point when he's not even giving anyone else a meeting.

Re: Spurs 2019 offseason thread
NBA needs a hard cap like the NHL. I hate the super team BS

And they're still gonna keep the powder dry, smh. I really hate this FO once the draft is done.
:pop: we still have Patty. Sky’s the limit.

Renounce all cap holds except Rudy
Sign Luka and Keldon to their Rookie Scale deals
Defer Milu
Renounce MLE & Bi-Annual Exceptions
If they did that, SA would be at -7.9M in cap space.
That means to get to 12M in cap space, SA would need to trade 20M in salaries with taking nothing back:
So something like Mills and Bertans moved would get you close while being able to keep Rudy.
Yeah, I understand it. I just got excited when I saw the cap line went up 7%, and started looking for angles. The cap holds are there specifically to keep teams from doing what I was talking about doing. That's what I meant about having it both ways - you don't get to clear the cap space and still keep the player.
I knew better, just went blind.
