DDR hits winner putting years of playoff issues aside!
Patty Mills saves the day, per par.
Denver by 21 and patty gets 30 min
93-85 spurs
Patty after tonight is due to hit
104-103 spurs
spurs blowout because why not
The Spurs are not winning this game. 113-92 Denver
Patty will play 30+ minutes, plus shit defense go 2-14 and we lose 112-103
Nugs win in overtime.
Nuggets should win, but it will go down to the wire.
I’m not sure if the Spurs can win this game tbh. When’s the last time the Spurs won a game 7 playoff game on the road? 2008 against the Hornets?
Nuggets 101
Spurs 90
Last second shot by nuggets wins it. We have that luck
Pop will think Patty deserves more minutes, result....implosion
Don’t really see us winning a game 7 on the road. Spurs are an abysmal road team tbh
I don't trust our bench players enough to predict a Spurs win. Hopefully they keep it close and we'll see what happens.
Hard to tell with this squad tbh. If Derozan and LMA's long 2s dont hit, it's gonna be a blowout for the Nuggs. Look at how Jokic got his easy points, by driving and bulldozing to the rim. There's also a factor where Belli and Gay don't show up
Agreed. But there is extra pressure is definitely on Denver to win a game 7. Lose and they will be overrated but win and they were supposed to beat a lowly 7 seed. In any event even if the Spurs lose, they did well to force a game 7 as flawed as the roster is. Not sure if that says something good about the Spurs or something badly about the Nuggets lol
Pulling for Spurs but Denver ain't gonna go 6-24 from treys again.
Considering we have only played 3 since 2008, it is not like the length of time since a road game 7 win is actually relevant. And we were extremely competitive in all 3 of those, winning the one in 08. If anything, it means we are due for a win.
:flag:
Didn't even notice this till the end but... apparently the key to a victory is Bertans. DNP (even though he played very little). Who'd of thought? I really think SA has a shot. No more than this time do I get the feeling it's anyone's game 7. Pressure is on Denver for sure. After the thrashing of SA recently there's no way they thought it would be a "next" game. Spurs pull off the series, 105-101. Kinda feels like the year we beat the Hornets in g7. Next game were up 20 on the Lakers in the first half then it all went to shit and got smoked by LA.
Just let it fly, tbh. They've got zero pressure on them.
I'm leaning Nuggets, but unsure yet. I will say though, the Spurs' path to victory is essentially a repeat of game 1: Hope the Nuggets come out jittery and that enough of a lead can be built to where, when they inevitably find their footing, the Spurs can hang on for dear life and survive.
Thuggets: 119
Spurms: 92
Too difficult to predict with these streaky, erratic teams, but the Spurs best shot will be if Denver succumbs to the pressure, as TD21 said..
My fear is that Poetl and White will be in foul trouble all game..
I’ll come down to gay and the bench if they can be plus 2-5 we should be ok 111-99 Spurs
winner get a spur or what ?
Tough to see this Spurs team winning a G7 on the road.
I think we keep it close for 3 quarters and then succumb to a barrage of late threes in the face of Pet Wombat..
Things giving me hope:
1. This will be the young Nuggets’ first playoff Game 7 and they will be facing a ton of pressure.
2. Our boys have regained their swagger after a dominant Game 6.
3. The pace will slow considerably and it will be a battle of halfcourt execution. The Spurs win that battle every time.
Spurs win if Mills play less than 15 mins
spurs 107
nuggets 98
I wish. That'd be beautiful.
I'm afraid Spurs will be easily beaten by Denver. Defense is still bad, Nuggets are scoring at will and Popovich isn't trying anything different so Spurs depend on repeating an unprecedent shooting efficiency in 1on1 actions infront of a hostile crowd in a game7 and conditioned refereing.
Sadly, my prediction is closer to a blowout than a visitant win. I hope to be wrong.
I have no problem with our guys losing a game7 on the road, it's a worthy end of the season.
Spurs will win a close contest, beat the Blazers in 5, take down GSW in 6, and win the championship in 6.
Murray might not be 100% after that blow from Poeltl (if I remember well Nash broke a thigh that way).
BTW the Malone crying thing and sending tapes to the league about SA screens might work to their advantage, but also ours.
Spurs - Refs 0:3
Denver has an easier path to victory for sure. Despite the loss today, they still scored something like 70 pts in the paint. Compare that to the Spurs who hit an insane amount of mid-range shots tonight(like 20 out of 30). It's more likely that the Nuggets will continue to score at will against our shitty defense than it is for the Spurs to continue hitting those difficult jumpers. The Spurs also scored 10 threes...which probably isn't happening again.
Nuggets 110-Spurs 101
Slightly favor the Nuggets. Hoping for a close one. Nuggets might be really tight. 2 seed is never supposed to lose in round 1..
Denver is a 5.5 point favorite.
Big question -- Have the Spurs' American iso-ballers turned the corner on Denver's foreign legion (Jokic and Murray)?
(I got a kick out of putting it that way.)
Rudy Gay has his confidence back and it winds up being the difference. Spurs by 5.
Still waiting for that Bertans five 3 pointers breakout game
I have zero confidence that good Gay is gonna show up.
As for my prediction, bench players won't be the reason we lose this game, the 22m and 27m players respectively will be the reason we lose.
Denver role players will be better at home and Derozan will shrink again under pressure plus LMA nonchalant play and thats how we get our L.
We win by 3 in OT.
Ferrari and Gay combine for 39 pts
Denver just the tougher team, in game 7 they gonna crush us on the offensive glass and be the first to lose balls...
Heavy dosage of Gay. Gay Power!
109 Spurs
95 Nuggits
What was the line on the Spurs winning before Game 1? I think we've seen that it depends on which Spurs team shows up. The Spurs can beat Denver. They can also lose by 20.
"As per my prediction"? Who the fuck talks like that?
Rudy Gay making shots was the difference in Game 6. If he failed to make shots, would he be the "reason" the Spurs lost? I don't know. I don't care. If he knocks down a bunch of 3's in Game 7, the Spurs have a shot. Beli making a bunch of 3's would help, but he can't defend shit. Rudy is going to get substantial minutes. So he's the one who needs to be knocking down some shots.
gotta hope the Nuggets are nervous and make some boneheaded mistakes while under pressure. If the bench shows up we got a chance. I expect a close game
Spurs win if Belinelli, Forbes and White aggressively chuck it from 3 point land!
105-102 Spurs
Gay, Forbes, and White combine for 35
LMAlpha and DDR go for a combined 50
and Poeltl, Beli and Mills chip in another 20
The ideal situation is Pop plays it like any other game, same substitution pattern, about the same playing time, very standard, cool game.
Let Denver piss their pants thinking "it is a fucking game 7"...
Early blowout.
If the Spurs come out strong and build a good lead it might be tough for Denver to handle the pressure. Even though they're one of the best teams in the league in crunch time, I think in a game 7, playing from behind, will be tough for the Nuggets.
Conversely, if the Spurs fall behind early, it could be rough for the good guys because Denver's young guys will loosen up and play great being fueled by their fans.
As a Spurs fan I'm going to go with SA....117 to 106.
Someone tells LaMarcus that Dame said "Nobody liked him in Portland and him leaving is the reason for the Blazer's recent success."
Spurs 130
Nuggets 100
LaMarcus with 30pts, 20rebs, 5asst, 4blks
Next stop Portland!
I have to think the Spurs are back in the Nuggets’ heads a little with last night’s win. They’ll play hard...in fact I’ll call it. They’ll play TOO HARD and TOO PASSIONATE (still talking hoops :lol ) and it will cost them. They are, after all a very young and inexperienced team
Spurs: 114
McNuggets: 102
All it will take is another well timed knee on Murray's thigh and Spurs will win.
Poeltl finishes Murray’s thigh. Jokic has season low 8 points. Aldridge erupts for 35 points. Demar has near triple double. Poeltl has 12 boards and 5 blocks. White 18 points, 6 assists 3 blocks. Gay 20 points. Spurs 120, Denver 96
patty mills hits a 3 with 2 seconds left.
spurs lose 106 to 121
Spurs win by 13 Gay style.
30 point Derozen triple double
135-128 Spurs double OT
Spurs game 7s are usually dramatic
106-102 Nuggets
Nuggets 121
Spurs 94
:depressed
Denver 111-100
If we go old school Phx and let Jokic go off, a la Stupidmire, while containing the rest by not double teaming, we have a strong chance. Also Gay needs to have a similar offensive performance to game 6. If those two things happen, Spurs by 10+. If neither happens, no need to even watch the 4th Q, as it wil be game 5 redux.
Bunch of foolish homers on this site. That’s why I come on back. Spurs win 113-102.
