He's going to get paid $15 mil this year, probably get traded to a playoff team by the deadline, then re-enter free agency in a far weaker market next year and get wildly overpaid by some desperate team. he had a 1 + 1 with the spurs and still would have been able to enter free agency next year, and could have parlayed a strong playoff performance into a big contract. and nobody stopped him from negotiating with other parties as far as "the hustle"... making a commitment and reneging isn't the in the same category
