Thanks Timvp. I already know about Luka/Keldon upsides. But QDarry is ready to be a 3rd PG I believe. He’s an insurance in case we move Mills/Belli.
I like Ewwbanks tonight. And I really am rooting for him to develop better defense, boxing out, holding his ground at the paint, raise his arms and just use his height. He has the offensive skills, quick feet, variety of moves, but I want him to be tough on defense. He has the body, speed and athleticism, just dedication to defend, stand ground, bang. Splitter was not particularly good at defense at first, but he learned to use his size and body, toughness. I think he has the potential to be better than whoever available out there. I’m surprised to say I’m rooting for him to get that 3rd big spot.

Weatherspoon is already behind Walker in the pecking order. This season we add two new wings Murray and Walker that weren't present last year. I just don't see a spot this year.

Luka has all the tools, needs to work on his decison making and ball handling, his BH is pretty good but out of control sometimes.

Thank you for the grades. I thought it was worth mentioning Becky using the coach's challenge near the end of the game. It turned out to be a crucial mistake as Spurs had to rush up the court with 5 seconds left and essentially a game winning play turned into a disaster after the lost timeout.
Thanx for the grades...looks like the Spurs have 3 very promising rookies to develop...
all 3 rookies need a full season in the G-League. After that Weatherspoon should definitely compete for minutes on the main team
Just remember this. If you put Mills in the summer league and he was playing for a roster spot he would torch everyone on the floor. Just wanted to keep everything in a real perspective.
that's a really poor statement, mills is nearly 31 and we talk about 19 to 22 years old players. People are not dumb, everybody knows that it still a long way too go for the majority of them.Quote:

Of the three draft picks, I am thinking Keldon gets the most playing time with SA Spurs. Unless something unforeseen shakes out in this standoff between the Knicks and Bullock, Keldon may get playing time due to the thiness of his position and his readiness to play defense.
In order to really contend, we need 3 of those to turn into all-star caliber players AND one of those 3 to turn into a top 10 player. Can it happen? Odds would say no. But this year is going to be really interesting to see if they take the next step:corn:Quote:

1. Mills would average 40+ in summer league.
2. Forbes could easily drop 50 in summer league right now. He could easily drop 35+ two years ago and he wasn't close to as good then as he is now.
3. I don't understand why Spurs fans have to be so weird about Forbes. The guy was the best player on the team in the second half of a Game 7 on the road ... yet Spurs fans laugh when he's listed as a positive asset on the team. Strange, tbh. I guess being a SpursTalk edgelord makes it necessary to hate Forbes -- unless you're including him in trade packages. At that point, Forbes is valuable, according to the edgelord handbook, apparently.
i think he's limited, and would prefer more of his minutes (not specific to the game 7, but generally) had gone to white, or even walker. those guys need the minutes to develop. that said, i dont understand the appeal of dealing forbes considering how cheap he isQuote:

Didn't Harlemheat say that he played in a game or two against Cory Joseph years ago and Cory dropped 50 on them? Not sure if that story was true, but if so, that makes me believe just how good these end of the bench players are against lesser than decent NBA competition.
As much as I hate Mills, he used to score a lot when he was the primary offensive weapon for a team like Australia where I think he led the Olympics in scoring one year.
