Send Demar back to Toronto
We get two picks and still keep our cap for next summer. Raptors load up for a run next year.
HernedaZ, Davis, and thomas are on partial or non guaranteed contracts so we can waive them.
Powell has a 11 million player option that he will probably decline next summer.

I would take OG. Raptors won’t give him up though. We should have asked for him in the first trade.

No are you? If we can get picks and open up time for keldon and white that’s a win.

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
lol Raptors won't make the same mistake twice. They lost nephew and Danny Green and are still better than they were with DeRozan
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
Yes because 1 for 6 player trades happen regularly.

With the financial issues of the NBA over the next few years, no player of Powell’s caliber is going to turn down an 8 figure option. Not going to,happen.

Chris Paul had a similar trade when he went to Houston.

Fair point. But he could be flipped as a expiring contract.

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
The raptors could of used him. I'm sure they would welcomed him back.
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
DD would have helped them advance IMO.
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
Lol, massai isn't dumb. He knows DeMar sucks. Apparently, dumb Spurs fans still don't
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
i doubt he wants back to tor after what they did to him.
knicks could be an interesting trade partner and a good destination for him (back to east).
randle/filler (reggie, knox, ellington etc)/8th for ddr 11th
randle/filler/27th for ddr
lots of possibilities and Knicks wants a 'star' so imo they could be interested in ddr.

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
Could Indiana be a good destination if oladipo shows no intention of staying and they don't want to rebuild
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
They would like him but no way is he staying once his contract is up.
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
:lmao He'd definitely re-sign, but no, they wouldn't like him. They tried to trade him for 2 years before finding a sucker, going so far as to offer him for Wiggins' albatross.

They actually might be a stealth destination; good call. In addition to what you said, he'd actually be a good fit with their core pieces.
No direct trade makes sense, so it'd have to be a 3 teamer, with whoever is acquiring Oladipo sending something to the Spurs.

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
I'd rather send LMA back to Portland for the 16th pick

If I was going to give away DD, I would want Randal. He would work with LMA and our guards.

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
I wonder if Orlando is still interested in DEROZZ?

The Knicks are interesting. They have a bunch of non guaranteed deals. We could basically do a salary dump and get the 8th pick. Randal would be good though.

Worked like a charm for Houston, that one.

i read plenty of rumors that they are not

Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
Demar has tried his hardest and mentored our young core. I’d trade him for their low first rounder and be done with it. No hate for the dude.
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
Demar trade scenarios including going back to Toronto have been discussed ad nauseum in his extension thread nothing new here
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
That would be a weak move, maybe if he was 40 and about to retire. Unless they offering Pascal Siakam forget it.
-
Re: Send Demar back to Toronto
why not trade him home to the bulls for their young pieces?
trade IG for nakamura or whatever on the wizards not name wall
