I'm not sure that White/DeRozan/Leonard/Gay/Aldridge actually works. I would've done the trade anyway, with or without Leonard. I mean, the DeRozan deal would've been awkward, but I think them doing it would've allowed them to take back more future value for Leonard rather than looking to replace him. Like had they done the DMDR deal and then traded Leonard to LAC for Harris and 12, they would've basically been where they were but having swapped out 18 for 12, Murray for Harris and would've been out a big without Gasol and Poeltl. Easily seems like the better future.

If they ring they most likely keep Bertans and run it back for 2020, where a Spurs team with Kawhi, Aldridge, DeRozan and White would be the favorite to win it all and would most likely repeat.
