Let’s hope we get one of these vaccines to be very effective quickly so things can get back to normal. it’s going to be a bit late for this way we are experiencing right now. We need kids back in school amongst others and people out of their houses. The derpage created by this virus due to being shut in is frightening.

I did dodge a bullet Friday, though. I was looking into companies that make super cold freezers which are gonna be required for the Pfizer vaccine. I figured they would be swamped with orders. Now the Mederna checks out and it only requires regular refrigeration.

Dumb question but are these long-term or short-term outlooks?
I know the hope peddlers on tv say shots will be in arms by December but, between the logistics and actually getting people to take it - assuming it is indeed approved and sent out by then, it's safe, effective, etc - how much will that actually improve the situation? The virus is going to ravage the country in the meantime possibly to the point of lockdowns. Or is this all looking ahead to 2021 and beyond?
It's also worth noting Moscow Mitch is going to let millions sit in food lines and miss their rent by denying them a stimulus. How many people are actually buying overpriced JC Penny crap even if Christmas is coming?

Could be anything with JCP. The new owners might be close to coming out of bankruptcy and the market just likes it.

It all depends on if it's a sterilizing vaccine or a protective vaccine. We don't know yet but all indications are that it is a protective vaccine. If it is protective then we need to know if it reduces viral load enough to slow the spread. If vaccinated people still spread the virus easily then the road ahead is very long.
