San Antonio kicks off their annual Rodeo Road Trip in Atlanta against a Hawks team which has lost 4 out of their last 5 games.

The Spurs are coming fresh off a beatdown from Steph Curry, and Trae Young could be considered his younger brother, so their primary focus should be to help keep him under wraps.

Hopefully the squad has been smart enough to avoid going out to Magic City for chicken wings (or legs & thighs) and come in with the proper focus to start their journey off with a W.

Still think Atlanta should have drafted Haliburton. Would’ve fit right in. With Bogey injured, they lack secondary playmakers/shooters.

I don't think Murray was "right" there. Collins doesn't have to change his trajectory because Murray wanted to cut him off to help DeRozan up. The game was still going on.

Looks to be at least 6-8 or 6-9. He's clearly taller than guys who are listed at 6-7. But he's slight. He not a center at all.

This is the optimal starting lineup. For sure.

Jakob is an elite rim protector and good finisher. He really reminds me of Tiago.

NBA needs to fix this, but they are all about their scoring numbers.

There are clips of Luka jumping like 4 feet forward into a defender and he gets three free throws.

Good game so far. Bullshit calls going Atlanta's way and we've still managed to lead the game at every turn. Hope we can keep this intensity for the rest of the game, and match Atlanta's, they're a more dangerous team than their record lets out.

It's still early but JC's talent and all the hoopla isn't really standing out to me...

White make this team even better with his defense and hall movement.

Incredible to think there really were people clowning on the FO for giving Jakob a measly $9M/per and locking him up for 3 whole years... I'm waiting just a bit more before I start bumping the thread with quotes. Ridiculous. Poeltl has been playing extremely well, he can definitely fill in as a starter (though I still don't see him starting an entire season, at least until he gets his FTs in check), and is a post move or two away from being a two-way contributor. He compliments our guard core extremely well and allows everyone to play looser, more perimeter-oriented defense while he holds the fort inside. Underrated player for sure.

We're playing some damn nice basketball. Who was that poster again saying we were oh so boring to watch this season, tbh?

That was frustrating for sure. They are clearly better shooters/players now though. Not saying that had anything to do with it but we know the Spurs didn’t want to part with either in the off-season.
