In fact, I can only recall a handful of teams that are as favoured to win it all as the 2006 Spurs in the years I have been watching ball (2002 Lakers, 97 Bulls, 93 Bulls, 85 Celtics, those ancient Celtics, 88 Lakers), it doesn't have a 100% chance at winning a championship, but no team does.
I like Pop (I used to want him fired, I must confess), I like Duncan, I like Parker, I like Ginobili, I like Bowen (actually, he is fast becoming my favourite Spur), I like Mohamed, I like Rasho, I like Finley, I like NVE, I like Udrich, I like PJ Carlesimo, I like Barry, I like Oberto, and I like Marks. I won't cry for days if ANY of them got traded, because I think the Spurs organization has heard a certain level of trust from the fans for what they have accomplish over the last decade. I mean, how many teams can say that they won a championship while they were rebuilding?
Sorry, I am rambling, I just can't understand why there are so many complaints after one game in December where Duncan got outplayed by one of the best players in the NBA, AND the Spurs still won, after what the team and it's fans have went through in the 80s and early 90s heartbreakers.
BTW, I am not really from Mars.

Hell, I didn't even say Garnett was "great", yet you still managed to slip that one in there as well.
As usual, you're not even close T-Park. Too funny.
If Duncan had been on last year's Wolves team they would have made the Playoffs.
That's really all that needs to be said.

Deflect deflect deflect.
Still think
Udrih > Parker?
question
This forum needs an emoticon for sarcasm. Otherwise, Brewski needs to lay off the, well, brewskis.
End of the thread... :elephantQuote:

^^^ OOO, now you'll just piss him off with that one.
If they had Gilbert Arenas, well well well THEY WOULDVE RULED!!!!
:lmao
You still get fired up way too easily T-Park. .
We've already been down the whole "Beno > Parker" road. I never said that no matter how much you try to spin it that way. But spin away if you like. I can only imagine the spin you'll be putting on this thread a year from now. I'm sure you'll be screaming "Brewski said Duncan sucks, and should be traded" to anyone who will listen. But then agian, you destroyed your credibility on this forum something awefull, so I guess it doesn't really matter.
the question is ridiculous. why trade a sure thing and mess up the chemistry we've established for 4 years?
Have the Spurs ever missed the playoffs with Tim Duncan on the team? Nuff said. Next.
Trade Beno for Parker
Even if we concede that Garnett is better than Duncan, that trade still wouldn't make sense. The Spurs win because the coach and players compliment the star's skills. Garnett has a different skill set, and I can't see Pop being as successful with Garnett.
The Spurs contend ever year. They won the title last season and are favored to win it again this season. Making that trade at this point would make no sense.
lets see hmmmmmm
gansta pimp daddy patched up broken leg sprained ankled poor free throw shooter Timmayy for MR MVP ALL SHOW NO GO GARNET.........
aaaaaahhhhh
aaaaaahhhhhhh
aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
naaaah ahhhh!
Beno should be waived immediately so Anthony Carter can come back.
You people have so much to learn. Unless you believe that every Spurs starter (and almost every bench player) is better than every other player in the NBA who has played or is playing the same position, you aren't a real fan.
To qualify as a "true" fan you've also gotta believe that POP is the greatest coach ever, RC is the best GM, the uniforms are the coolest ever, the coyote is the best mascot ever, the Silver Dancers are the finest girls on the planet, the popcorn is the freshest in the SBC, the beer is the coldest in the SBC, blah, blah, blah.
Never, ever, ever, ever, ever question the Spurs or the players.
To who, you?Quote:

If to you, I could care less.
I could care less what a 50 year old witha beard and drinking crown royal out of a flask all day thinks.

You said if you had your choice Parker or Beno, youd chose Beno.
Therefore,
Beno > Parker
Your the only one whos spinning.
Spin what?Quote:

That Duncan is better than Garnett still?
Yeah Ill spin that Im sure to what? That Duncan has 4 rings while Garnett languishes losing again.
Typical spin.Quote:

No one is saying everyone is better than everyone.
But if you think Garnett is better than Duncan, you need a lesson in basketball.
from what i've seen in my lifetime is there or was there any player better than timmoy allaround? (side from his FT)Quote:

I dont care what the media thinks.
But I somewhat care what Spurs fans think.
