Get him Cheney.
I love it: "Mr. Edwards, France and Germany said they wouldn't help you, isn't your plan for Iraq naive?"
"Well, we aren't training the troops right in Iraq, we should bring them here to train them, yada yada yada..."
Cheney for President!
Uh, getting the training out of country MAY actually get some more to sign up. Good idea.
Cheney had two rather pronounced uh's immediately after the mention of Halliburton. :lmao
That's all you've got.
Moderator to Cheney :lmao
Keep pounding on Halliburton. It's got him flustered,
Cheney plays the hooky card. :lol
"The first time I met you was tonight" was classic! (rough quote, may not be precise)
That was like a choke-slam, if my wresting vernacular is correct.
You have to admit though, that certainly doesn't sound very good.
"Vote for me, I won't be there to represent you!"
At least he's not dodging the question, like Edwards and his completely ignoring the reality of France and Germany saying thanks but no thanks.
Good point, that was a great point (the whole "I'm the president of the Senate, tonight was the first time I met you).
Even the second time around, after being called on it rather abruptly by Edwards, Cheney didn't answer the jobs question. :p
"A little dog yapping at a grown up's heels."
Couldn't have put it better.Quote:

I figured Ex was a Kerry tool. Dude, I am going to get you a pair of flip flops.
"Well Gwen, that wasn't what John Kerry meant by global test."
two minutes of bullshit later....
Gwen: "I just wanna get this right..." *proceeds to rattle off quote, showing Edwards full of shit*
Bush/Cheney is gonna get a boost after tonight.
I was like "BAM".... "EAT SHIT"......"SCORE"......."YOU'RE STUPID"..........."ANSWER THE QUESTION BITCH".....
And then Pseudofan told me to STFU, she was reading....
Psstttt..... Cheney spanked dat ASS!
I thought it was a pretty good debate, of course I was trying to do Probability homework at the time, so my attention was a bit diverted. Most of the commentators are calling it a draw.
Y'all going to be SOOOO disappointed at the poll numbers tommorrow. What we basicly had here was Kennedy/ Nixon all over again, the upstart telegenic young man vs. the rumpled old unlikable dude. Edwards more than held his own, which is all he needed to do. He also made it clear that he was on a ticket, not on his own.
It was funny watching CBS sit there and try to tell us with a straight face that Edwards held his own.
I don't know what's more pathetic - networks trying to tell voters what happened, or the DNC flooding their party supporters' email boxes with the links to every online poll to go vote after the debate.
I think it's interesting that a sitting Senator had never met the President of the Senate.
And, ex, Edwards came off as exactly what he is...a pretty lawyer with a good grasp of his Demoncratic talking points. He never varied from the weeklong rhetoric, almost verbatim regurgitation of what we've been seeing and hearing since last Thursday.
Hell, he couldn't even keep from mentioning Kerry during the question when the moderator specifically asked the debators not to mention, by name, the head of their ticket.
Oh, and then there was the question of how the candidate differed from their opponent. Vice President Cheney talked about their similarities and then contrasted his public service with Edward's career choice. Edwards came right out trashing the Bush administration with the same old talking points...WFT was that all about? He was supposed to be contrasting himself with the Vice President.
Oh yeah, there is no comparison.
Apparently not just CBS, at least according to SJ, who is conservative in her leanings, but not a lemming like some of you.Quote:

Shout loud enough that Cheney won. Someone might believe you.
Not only that, I wonder how many local newspapers, across the country, received letters to the editors about how much Cheney lied and how good Edwards did -- 3 to 4 hours before the debate, as what happened last Thursday.Quote:
