Or have the Playoffs been consumed by the officiating? It just seems like the games are going a lot slower and have no type of flow to them. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that they have been deciding games (except for NJ/Ind game 1 :rolleyes ). I was just looking at some of the box scores from the first couple of games to the PO's and there have been a lot of FT's taken with a lot of PF calls. I know that Dick Bavetta, Jack Nies and Bennett Salvatore run tight ships but they also take away from the game.
IMHO there are way too many touch fouls being called in this years PO's and its making it hard to watch some of these games. I've already stopped watching a couple of games as soon as I found out that Bavetta was going to be involved. Tonights game with LA and Denver with like 4 mins left in the 3rd, Denver has already attempted 33 FTs. It seems like everytime down the court there's a whistle.
I believe that some of these officials should be reserved for games like game 3 in Sac with Ron Ron coming back and a hostile crowd. That would be the type of game that Bavetta or Nies would thrive on because they are mostly concerned with keeping guys in check rather than having a good flow to the game.
Well I'm getting off my soap box but let me know what ya'll think about it. I could just be reading too much into it so I would like to hear your input.
