Bonzi Wells gives the Mavs fits as well. They have never been able to stop him (even when he was in Portland).Quote:

horry guards howard
horry did not play when howard went off
he was not even at the game
Sorry Spurs fans. Sorry Pistons fans. Sorry Mavs fans.
Stern wants Kobe v. LeBron or Kobe v. Shaq in the finals.
Most likely, Shaq.
LA Lakers v. Miami Heat in the 2006 NBA Finals.
I think the Spurs have a better chance to beat Dallas than they do the Kings, to be perfectly honest.

Its about matchups -- we matchup better with Dallas at this point.
The Spurs would beat the Mavs.
I don't know. As a Mavs fan I would like to agree with you...but when SA gets past Sacto, they will execute a more concerted effort on Dallas. I think game 3 was a lack of respect for Sacto. SA knows how good Dallas is and will not let up. I think that will be the difference for SA vs. Dallas. That being said, I think that series goes to 7 where anything can happen, but unforunately SA will have HCA.Quote:

The Spurs and Dallas know each other quite well so I would not worry about a letdown in that series.

I wouldn't say SA matches up better with Dallas. Why? because SA is struggling with Sacramento? In game 2, Sacramento didn't even have Artest and they still nearly won that game. It might have to do more with Duncan's foot and age(30) and Ginobili's slight decline in productivity. Honestly, I just don't think Duncan is the same Duncan he was last year. Rahim is holding more than his own against him right now. When Dirk has faced up Duncan this year, he simply runs around him for the easy j from the elbow or layup...or draws the foul. I've seen Murphy(GS) take Duncan to the hole with relative ease, same with Kaman. I'm telling you, Duncan is not the dominant defensive force in the paint he once was even a year ago. If Kieth Van Stupid hadn't thrown the ball out of bounds in that 2nd game in Dallas with under a min. left and the lead, Dallas wins that game...and ur looking at a 3-1 reg. season success for the Mavs. However, Sacto is obviously no 8th seed team. They are clearly a top 4 team in the west and Dallas was fortunate to get Memphis in the 1st round. But to say that Sacto is a better matchup than Dallas is a bit premature IMO. Dallas is ballin' right now, no doubt.Quote:

I'd say Kings are at LEAST as self-respecting as the Wiz, Pacers, Lakers and Nets.
Tip off in 6-1/2 hours.

I'm not saying that we're gonna sweap the Mavs, but they really aren't physical or as hard as a team to beat right now.

The spurs will have no answer for Howard if they decide to put Bowen on Dirk. Terry would light up Parker also and Dallas's big men would shut down Duncan. Something the kings can't do. The mavs with Josh Howard against San Antonio, Miami, Detroit, and Phoenx are 5-2 and without him are 0-3.Quote:

Read post 32. The spurs don't have an answer for Josh Howard. Very similar to Bonzi Wells.Quote:

Horry is not a good defender. Bonzi and Howard are similar in how they play. Howard is bigger and Bonzi is stronger but they both attack the interior.
horry stopped bonzi when he guarded him last game
which pop should have done more
Well if you have to go deep in your bench to guard somebody than you are in trouble. Anyways all I saw is Horry being forced to foul Bonzi because he couldn't handle the speed and power of Bonzi.
bonzi>>howard
Mavs>Kings and Howard>Bonzi though Bonzi is playing out of his mind right now.Quote:

Bowen will be guarding Dirk and who knows if that will work. If it doesn't than both Dirk and Howard will be going off on the Spurs. The mavs and Kings play very similar on offense. The mavs are clearly better on defense.
Especially since Bonzi gets like 50 offensive boards per game.Quote:

And to think you aren't going to have the same problem with the Mavs that you are with the Kings is absurd. True you haven't had a to play a game with a healthy Griffin and Stack in the lineup, but common didn't you at least watch one damn game against the Grizzlies? Griffin, Howard, and Stack were doing the same damn thing to the Grizz that the Kings are doing to you and the Grizz are younger and more athletic!
Griff is averaging 5 boards on %56 shooting in the playoffs, 3 offensive 2 defensive. In 25 minutes of playing time
Howard is averaging 6.3 rebounds this season 2.1 offensive, his numbers would be even better in the PO's if not for foul trouble in the last couple of games.
Oh and to say he's not a low post threat is ludicrous, he's averaging nearly 16 points per game %60 of those points come from the paint.
Lets not forget that these swingmen are getting huge offensive rebound numbers on one of the best shooting teams in the league. Let us also not forget that the Spurs don't have one person on thier front court who comes close to either Howard or Griffin in rebounding..............
The fact remains that the Mavs match up better with the Kings, that's why we beat them down.
I think that's the key for Dallas. They no longer have to double team Duncan in the post. Between Damp and Diop, Dallas has size, strength, length and 12 fouls to give. Damp and Diop have done a pretty good job of containing Duncan in the post all season long. I don't see that changing in the playoffs. With that being said, Dallas can guard the perimeter much better. When teams have to double team Duncan, that's when they have difficulty beating the Spurs. Look at what Sacto is doing right now. They're basically playing Duncan one on one. Dallas will do the same.Quote:

Yes I agree, I guess that's what he meant by PF type player, but one could argue that some power forwards no longer play that way IE Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudamire. Some could argue that being able to drive to the hole and create are more important than a traditional back to the basket player.Quote:

I know I'm rooting for Dallas over SA because the Spurs are the better team and LA would wax Dallas for all they are worth and head to the Finals.
The lakers will get beat by their own city. :lolQuote:

Oh and the Lakers would wax us? That's great too!! You guys need to worry about Phoenix, I know you won't believe me when I tell you this, but that series is far from fucking over. Eliminating Marion and Nash will not be easy, trust me LA/Phoenix is going 7. Oh and prepare to get slaughtered tonight.

in the dallas series we will be going up againts a better coach in AJ remember when we have faced better coaches like phil jackson we have lost some games
