I never posted anything on that site but instead read their views and opinions.

I watched my recording of the TNT broadcast, and it's quite clear that he punched him. You can't see it during the live action, but it's clear in the replay they just show (just before the second jump ball). You can see Terry's arm swinging, and you can even see Finley's body react to the punch.
And the give-away sign? Watch Terry's left leg. It swings up in the air simultaneously with Terry's right arm, in reponse to Terry's right foot pushing against the ground to provide power for the punch.
So not only did Terry want to punch him, he wanted to punch him as hard as he could.
I must say that this evening marks the darkest day in the character of this franchise. Not necessarily the punch. That was one player's action, which does not necessarily reflect the character of the whole organization. (And even if it did, it would not necessarily be a bad thing. There is something to be said for a well-timed punch or two.)
No, the thing is Cuban's behavior. Wanna know why the rest of the league thinks the Mavs are a bunch of crybabies? It's because Mark Cuban has an excuse for EVERYTHING. Finley piledrivered Terry's head. No, he didn't. Terry's head never even hits the ground. And Terry doesn't need to apologize. Didn't do a single thing wrong, according to Cuban. See, the way Cuban would tell it, the Mavs are NEVER to blame for ANYTHING.
That's the Cuban culture. We've seen it over and over again. He lowballed Nash and get stuck with egg on his face, but it was Nash's agent's fault. He couldn't afford Finley, but rather than say that he comes up with some long-winded rationale. It's never Cuban himself who is responsible.
And then he really hit rock bottom today, with his comments about Finley. For all intents and purposes, he encouraged the fans to boo Finley at every opportunity, if he even so much as steps foot in Dallas! For all intents and purposes, he called Finley a bad person. He says he "loved" Finley, using the past tense. Nevermind that it makes Cuban look like an overgrown kid who gets picked on in the playground, but this is Mike Finley we are talking about! One of the greatest players to ever wear a Mavericks jersey and, by all accounts, a model representative of the franchise during his stay here.
It just sickens me. It absolutely sickens me. And you know what? Once again, in the heat of the moment Cuban loses all foresight. He wants a loud and rowdy arena, full of folks who will boo Finley and the rest of the Spurs all game long. He may well get it. But if his team doesn't come out of the game with a win, I can GUARANTEE you an arena that will VERY rowdy and loud, and that will boo everything within a hundred miles of Dallas...in Game Seven.
Thanks, Cubes. Way to add that extra burden to the team. Oh, and those players who you support so fiercely? Don't think they don't know just how deep your loyalties run, and don't think they don't wonder just how THEY will be treated when their contract comes up, or when they move on to another team and become your former employee.
Beautiful: Cuban is turning the Mavs into victims. And he knows most of his fans -- and some in the media -- will buy his baloney. Deep down, the refs probably will, too.
from the skip bayless article.........
Did you see the comment he made on TV about SA? I am soooooo glad the rest of the country got to see him in all his sleazy glory.. just the WAY he said it made me want to puke.
I thought I was the only one. Funny thing I read the title of this thread and that immediately popped in my head.Quote:
