That started happening toward the end of the regular season and into the playoffs because the forum was so popular.Quote:

This is purely cosmetic, but nearly all the sites I visit, except ST, have a logo displayed to the far left of the browser address field, the logo also shows up in the tabs of Firefox's tabbed browser.
ST shows nothing, so the browser inserts generic image of a white document image with a folded corner. bleh
ST could display the obvious Spurs spur image.
what is the hardware spec of the new ST server? (dual) CPU MHz, RAM, disk type?
We are aware of this, that feature is commonly called "favicon.ico" because that's the name of the graphic file that browsers display in the address field (google knows plenty about it if you are interested).Quote:

ok, after many months of intense R&D, you have finally got the favico showing. Congrats!
Actually it was just a case of me making it and saving it on the server. The display process is basically automatic - if it's there most browser show it.Quote:

But if you ask for it, then it happens (specially when it something that simple :lol )
BTW I was trying to make something more specific to SpursTalk.com, but the picture is only 16x16 pixels and a lot of stuff isn't recognizable after you shrink it to that size. But if somebody has an idea for something else, please tell me - and I'll try it out.
The orange b/g was jarring at first, but it helps it stand out.
The NBA and BBC sites have favicon with transparent b/g, while NYT and WP both have 16x16 white b/g.
Comparing all favicons, I think white is best b/g, because it offers the highest contrast (which is I why I don't like the The Club's low-contrast grey-on-grey).
An alternative would be the black spur on transparent b/g with a white halo of 1 pixel.
can't the poster's menu have an additional choice to "ignore this poster" ?
These damn Mavs trolls are a real pain to keep ignoring, takes TOO many clicks to IGNORE someone.
