Call it now and keep in mind the re-alignment.
1. San Antonio
2. LA Lakers
3. Minnesota
4. Memphis
5. Dallas
6. Sacramento
7. Denver
8. Houston
It will be a tight race for the last 3 spots. I think Phoenix will barely miss the playoffs.

Lakers in the second spot?
How do you figure that?
Lakers were what... 3 and 10 or something without Shaq last year? Not to mention they have NO point guard, Center, or Power Forward. Lakers in the eight spot at best, but the rest I agree with.

Lakers play in a weak division. If they win the division, they be in the top 3 spots automatically even if they have a worse record than other teams in the other divisions.
I think they'll win the division.

Put down the crack pipe. This team is disintegrating before our eyes. Vlade is now a Laker, Webber is, well, Webber, and Peja wants out.Quote:

Sacramento Kings 3
A front line of Odom, Grant, and Vlade in LA, with a backcourt of Kobe plus whoever is good enough to win the division.
peja wants out
and he understands it is a business and he is not going to force the issue is the last quote I read. however his heart is not with the kings anymore. will he put good stats up just for a big contract elsewhere?
Kings still have talented players and a strong, successful organization from the staff on up the line to a very supportive ownership.Quote:

Duff, check again.:shootme
The reason why I have the Suns as 3rd seed is because they will win the Pacific, so they get the 3rd seed, even though Minn and maybe Memphis will finish head of them in the overall standings.
Chris Webber will grow a penis before the Suns win the Pacific.
These will be the rankings. Get it down on writing.

KevinKaster, wtf do you think will win it, The Queens???:lol
I dunno the suns could be a force this season, with nash running the point Qrich and Marion on the wings not to mention and Amare inside (I dont reall like his game) they will be an amazing fast break team. With a little consistency and a team concept they look good. They also got Joe Johnson coming off the bench. IMO a fairly good looking team. I mean if they had a decent centre...
Anyway onto the predictions.

It should be an interesting year. I'm thinking the Spurs and Wolves will probably be locks to win their divisions, but I think the 3 through 8 seeds are up for grabs. The Pacific division might be crowned to a team with less than 50 wins, and I'd predict at least three teams in that division will still be in the division race in April.
San Antonio and Houston might have the best two records in the league this year, and Minnesota, if they stay healthy, will be close behind. Portland will probably play better than people think and will have an outside shot at the playoffs.
It should be fun. :spam
Bump
Interesting how this is turning out quite a bit different than predicted before the season started. I think only 4 or 5 of us predicted that Phoenix would make the playoffs. Jim had them as a 3 seed before the season started.
The man is a witch. His gut must be full of SPAM! :lol
Wow, I'd have to say that Phoenix is without a doubt, definitely the big surprise of the season.
Wow! Thanks for bumping this back into circulation. Who'd have thought Seattle and Pheonix would explode and Minneapolis and LA would implode to the extent that they have?
If I can go back in time and swap Phoenix and LA in the Pacific and Seattle and Minnesota in the Northwest Division, then my seedings look pretty good.
NO ONE predicted Seattle would make the playoffs. No one. And they're likely the 3 seed.
Unbelievable.
Fucking crazy just reading some of these predictions...and then seeing what is happening right now.

I am the only one that knew Shaq was the Lakers, not Kobe. Put Shaq on any team, they are in playoffs at worst, division winners at best, take him off, they are lottery bound.
But Ed, I did miss Seattle and Minn and Houston and Utah, by flip flopping their fortunes, so witch? No, soothsayer, maybe. :)
Kevin Kaster said that Chris Webber will grow a penis before Phoenix win the Pacific. I wonder if he has checked that out to see if he was right :lol
Could the recent decline in form be attributed to "growing pains"? :lolQuote:
