The true reason of this defeat is: bryant,odom,walton(the 3 lakers best scorers) played 113 min combined and
Tim,Tony,Manu played 94 min.
I mean,it's just the regular season but if POP keep doing that in playoffs that would be so RETARDED...
because tonight we have/ tim,tony,manu with 22/35 shoots = 63 FG%
AND the useless finley,udrich,bonner...with 5/19...WTF??????

Considering the players have complained en mass, Spalding is going to have to suck it up. This new ball is actually turning into a marketing nightmare for them. They may have thought they did enough testing, but they clearly didn't.
What I don't get is that the new balls are all supposed to be uniform, so if someone asks for a ball to be switched out during a game (because it's sweaty or sticky or whatever) then that was supposed to happen. But then I read Pop asked for a switch in a game last week and he was denied.Quote:

Actually, the run that killed the Spurs was the last 4 1/2 minutes of the third quarter...and that was with TP and Manu in the backcourt when much of the damage was done. TP had 2 TOs and Manu had 4. That's when the Spurs had a 5 point lead and that's when 5 out of the Lakers' next 6 FGs were 3-point plays, including 4 trips in a row. The Spurs blinked and went from 5 up to 7 down without scoring a point. Then Beno came in and didn't help them much either.
