After reading the thread in the NBA forum, I thought it was going to be something really horrible. Now that I've seen it, it looks like a pretty standard ankle-fucking, nothing more. Nothing that'll keep him out more than 10 games. Prob less.

BTW, did Seattle fans boo Dirk too when he twisted the ankle?

Will GEICO pay for that?

i was asking the same question. But it happened to Duncan (game 6 Spurs vs Sonics in 2005), in Seattle before... I am no longer surprised.

Just find it ironic that Dirk went down before Tim did this year when all the Mavs fans talked about in the summer was how the Spurs are old, thus easy to succumb to injuries through the season.

Dirk's fine and I don't recall ALL the Mavs fans talking about how old the Spurs were and how that was a direct relationship to the injuries they might have, stop the petty tit for tat, nobody's going anywhere and the matchups will continue to be great fun.

Hopefully he'll be back by the 5th. Depending on how bad the sprain is, it could happen.
