Spurs are the truth
kobe, what are you doing posting in a spurs forumQuote:

There's a sense that one of two things will happen tonight:
1. The Spurs will win, and will solidify the fact that Spurs Basketball is back in the NBA.
2. The Spurs will lose, most likely on a last second Tracy McGrady shot, and Spurs fans will abandon the Spurs once again.
Which do you think will happen?
Manu
Ginobiliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiii
Go Spurs! I don't want to have to play the Spurs in the 2nd round so they need to hold on to that 3rd seed.
I'm going to go withQuote:

They will neither note the fact that at the time our lineup consisted of Beno, Barry, Bowen, Horry, and Tupac Shakur, all they will be able to communicate is that clearly this is the worst Spurs team since David Robinson was a rook.
They will then suggest that we trade Manu Ginobili and Francisco Elson for Brevin Knight (cause we need a distributing point guard), and put Tony Parker on waivers, banking on the fact that George Gervin will be available as a free agent to shore up our rotation.
Tony Parker will go off tonight. He played shitty last night and he won't play shitty back 2 back games.
are they going to show the game on fox sports
i hope they dont show the gay mavs
Why would they show the Mav's game on fox sports down there if there's a Spur's game?Quote:

Parker is not playing tonight--I think that's what they said, I walked in on the tail end of the discussion. Anyone know why?

Johnny Ludden: Parker out vs. Houston
The Spurs won't have to face Houston center Yao Ming tonight, but they have their own injury concerns.
Tony Parker has been scratched from the lineup because of a left hip flexor strain. Coach Gregg Popovich said he suffered the injury in the first half of Friday's victory over Orlando. Parker played in the second half of the game, but finished with eight points, four assists and four turnovers while missing seven of his 11 shots.
Popovich doesn't think Parker's injury will be a long-term problem and called him "day-to-day." The Spurs' next game is Monday in Los Angeles against the Clippers.
Jacque Vaughn will make his first start for the Spurs in place of Parker.

Is Ely suiting up now that Parkers out?
I heard on the ticket that Ely will be active for tonite's game.

Well, here's a silver lining, Beno's best game of the season was in this building. Maybe he can do it again?
Hell yeah, Vaughn starting first game
I think if Tony isn't starting then they should start Manu. Doesn't this make sense to anyone else?
Gotta have someone to play PG and that isn't Manu. Plus Pop is trying to help Manu get that sixth-man award he's always wanted.
Why don't they just choose Barry for the 3 pt contest? People choose Horry, Bruce, even Beno sometimes.
Great hustle by Vaughn.
Ely may play tonight
Go Spurs!
Quick two fouls on Deke
why is parker out?
Great D.... Bowen
What a play by Vaughn!
Fucking Vaughn!!! What a play!

If only we could keep this pace for 48 minutes...
Bowen with his first layup all season
Horry and Beno in
Really good defense by the Spurs forcing turnovers and bad shots!
Hmm. I thought Horry wasn't supposed to play back to backs.
I don't want to hear any excuses tonight such as "Houston played late last night and came in late". SA had a game last night too.
He wants to play against his old team?Quote:

I'm tellin y'all Udrih just plays well here.
The easy shots the Rockets got before against the Spurs, they are not getting tonight.
Beno 33333333333333
Spurs up 30 - 15 after one
30-15 at the end of one.
Beno hit a trey and our defense is causing Houston to cough up the ball like they have a sinus infection.
Amazing playoff intensity and focus.
Great rotations on defense.
We just had a 30 point first quarter against the 2nd best defensive team in the league with 0 points from Manu, Tony, Brent and Finley.
damn they look good. this is about the best the spurs can possibly play (minus tony, of course).
Anyone watching the game on SopCast? They play the same commercials over and over.
Considering Parker isn't playing, that's not a surprise.Quote:

Houston in bad foul trouble
damn, 9 TOs for rockets so far. nice D
its gonna be a long night for manu
Good thing Manu's racking up the dimes cos he can't hit anything.
Elson and one!!!!!!!!!!
4PF on Hayes
it was nice of chuck hayes to play a few minutes tonight.
Spurs are looking pretty good tonight.
Who needs TP anyway?
Rockets playing with desperation and fear. Hope it keeps up!
Elson for illegal defense. I kind of like that. I hope he plants his butt in the lane all he can.
We're clinical right now.
Manuuuuuuuuuuuu 333333333333333
Udrih > Kobe
Fin stepped into that one.
Spurs need to start doing a better job on the boards, or they're going to be in trouble once the FG%s start evening out.
Oh, MY!!!!
38-20!!!!
I think we're back. For now at least. ;)
Finley 333333333333
wow, even finleys making shots
With this lineup Manu's pretty much playing PG and Beno the SG.
Spurs are playing really well, hope they can maintain this level trough the game!
Manu has 5 assists already. He should go for 11!
They had a couple of problems because both guys went up for it. That's just hustle, not a problem. It'll be better once Tim checks back in.Quote:

I wouldn't be bothered if we didn't need him the rest of the game.Quote:

This feels like the old days of 2002-2006 when beating anyone was just a routine thing.
Sounds like a lot of Spur fan representing at Toyota.
Makes up for the dead crowd in the AT&T last night.
Elson abusing Tskalidis or whatever his name is.
Elson AND one!!! Oh my!
