Bring it Beno and Vaughn. Feel better Tony. :)
If only we could have traded for Maggette, he could have started as our point guard like MannyIsGod wanted.
:lol
Anyone else going to the game tonite?
I saw tickets on ebay go for nothing. I saw 4 seats together first row Sec 333 for for $1.09 plus shipping! I thought my two 2nd row seats in 303 for $9.99 was a steal!!!
I'll be there. I guess we'll see how big a Spurs fan Eva is. :toastQuote:

This is the only game where I find myself cheering for both teams. I love the Clippers. Don't ask me why. Just do. Anyway, its too bad Tony is out. His health down the line is more important though. My Clippers may have a chance, but I doubt it. Usually I would be fine with the Spurs losing a regular season game to the Clippers (which isn't too many times), but not tonight. The Spurs are on a roll and I want them to continue to stay on that roll. However, I might sneak an applause here and there for the Clippers.
A little summary of this TP show :
The first part was with Matt Bonner
Bonner said that it was very easy to adapt to SA because they are a lot of vets.
He has no problem with his knee, no pain at all and he is at 100%. He can help Spurs with his energy and his shooting.
Bonner like Noah : great player, great teammate and a great passion for the game. Bonner thinks Gators will win too this year.
Parker said that Pop wanted him because he has played well against Spurs when he was a Raptor : Tony thinks that he can be Horry sucessor. Bonner was surprised and happy when he was traded because he wanted to play for a contender.
Bonner said his hard foul on KG when he was with Toronto wasn't intentional : he just plays at 100% and hadn't run away when Sprewell and KG wanted to fight with him.
Bonner thinks that Spurs are playing their best BB now and he hopes thay will be even better for the payoffs.
The second part was with Fred Weis :
It wasn't really Spurs related.
Weis plays in Spain so someone ask a question about Scola. For Weis, Scola is a top three player in europe and plays always at 100%. TP thinks that Spurs are still interested to bring Scola, he would really like to see him with a Spurs jersey but there is the money problem.
The third part was some random questions to TP :
Parker has given some new about his hip : It's not a big injury. he would have played if it was a palyoff game but Spurs staff are cautious because Parker can be out three weeks if he comes back too soon. He played with a strap on the second half of the Magic game and he wasn't at 100%. He wanted to play against Clippers but Pop has said no. He should play against Portland.
Parker has said that Spurs are playing great now because the bench is playing better. When Spurs have won the championship, the bench was playing well.
The defense is too better and players are more focused because they are a vet team and playoffs are coming.
Then someone ask him a question about Vaughn : Vaughn is playing great defense, he does a lot of dirty work and he is always playing hard. He isn't a great offensive threat but the team works well with him because he makes other player plays well. For these reasons, Pop has chosen him as backup PG even if beno is more talented.
Then someone ash him a question about TJ Ford chosen as fasted nba players : TP was a little surprised. For him, Barbosa, Iverson and him are the fastest nba players.

With Bonner and Elson, the Spurs might be KG's favorite team.
I wouldnt be surprised if Parker is on the IR list to make Vaughn step into position and give Ely a shot at making his spot on the roster...
It's actually pretty sad that this is what the Spurs do instead of actually having quality scouts. 95% of players signed in the last ten years by the Spurs were players who happened to have good showings against the Spurs.Quote:

I agree with the whole Rasho and Elson thing. I think them bringing in Malik an SJax were good moves. The Elson thing is going good so far.

I think the point here is people forgot the game was at Staples.
bigfish, you missed a classic chance at PWNAGE.
What's Eva been teaching him in the wicked city?Quote:
He played with a strap on
I hope that in this case, "strap on" means "brace".
Damn, I can't believe you were the only one to catch that. :lol
I like how Pop looks out for our players, he's not short-sighted (like other coaches?)
Jackie Vaughn can pull his weight for Tony.
.... tapping this
Mengke Bateer? Yikes!Quote:

I remember Barry used to play very well against the spurs - that's how I came to learn about him anyway. I remember seeing that name raining threes on the spurs in more than one occasion.
