Pull for the Suns, I think San Antonio can beat both of them anyway.
I want the Mavs to win what they're supposed to win. Just show everyone Phoenix isn't all that high and mighty in the league with their showboat offense
We pull for the Mavs. Although they are our mortal enemies, our chances of catching the Suns are greater. We've got to hope the Suns will lose a few more and we can overtake the 2 seed. Catching the Mavs will be difficult. The chances of them losing 5 or 6 games is unlikely and even if we continue our streak. So the no brainer is to pull for the Mavs. Let them have regular season glory. It will be history once the playoffs start.
Either way, its a win-win situation for us.
I love this question.
I love it because I can't answer it.
Pull for the Mavs so the Spurs can get closer to catching Phoenix. There's no way they can catch the Mavs anyway.
WC Seeded 2nd or 3rd (the only thing the Spurs have to play for), the Spurs open with Lakers or Nuggs. Doesn't really make any difference.
I expect Pop, not caring about trying for 2nd seed, will tank some games in April, so rooting for a Suns' L (which is not the same as rooting for a Mavs W) so the Spurs get 2nd seed is pointless.
Root for Suns
Spurs fans are pulling for the arena roof to fall in...Quote:

Every little bit of wear and tear counts...
I think it's all about rooting for the Mavericks, too. Catching Phoenix becomes more feasible if Dallas takes each of the next two against the Suns. If the Mavs do that and the Spurs beat the Suns in early April in SA, the difference will only be one game with the Spurs holding the tiebreaker. The Suns' closing schedule is probably more difficult than the Spurs' but not that much more difficult. Every bit helps.
i guess for this time i want the mavs to win.
Pull for a Meteor to crash into the Arena. Or a 5 OT game in which every player on both teams Tony Allen themselves.
Failing that, pull for the Mavs because they are the less douchy of the two teams.
Why would you spurs fans care about pulling for either team? Seriously why would you care about the number 2 seed if your going to be in the playoffs anyway? This game should have no meaning for the spurs at all. No one is catching Dallas and theirs nothing important about taking the 2 seed from the suns.
I don't want Cuban getting to 70, but D'Antoni is a douchebag too, so this is tough
Goooooooooo Mavs!
Man, that left a sour taste in my mouth :wtf
I want the Mavs to lose 2 in a row.

Utah lost last night, but I don't expect them to fall much further behind the Spurs.
So, if the Spurs are going to be fighting to keep the third seed anyway (which they may or may not do), it would be great if they could overtake Phoenix in the process.
I'd disagree with that. The notion of a first round series against Denver, the Clippers, Sacramento, Golden State, or the Hornets has more appeal to me, as a Spurs fan, than a series against the Lakers. I'm not saying the Spurs would win any of those series, but I think their chances to advance would be much better if they could avoid the Lakers.Quote:

the best is when D'Antoni throws his hissy fit and starts yelling at the refs...i believe i've heard it described as being "like when Ron Burgundy began throwing things and yelling "what is this, amateur hour!?!"Quote:

i prefer the mavs to win, but fuck both douchebag teams.....
doesnt matter if we dont catch the suns, i believe that this team can win without HCA
in tim duncan i trust.
i would rather hit my balls continuously with a mallet than root for either team.
Either way is good. Suns win....more damage to the notion that the Mavs are unbeatable. Mavs win...Spurs gain ground on #2 seed.
that's the only way we'll play the mavs in the WCF. Granted, we both make it there.Quote:

HCA is HCA, but the lakers are not a smash-mouth team; therefore we are less likely to get injuries as opposed to a match up with the Thuggets (Najera, Evans) or Sacramento (Artest). Remember last season, our team was hurting before we even got to the main event (the Mavericks). Injuries > HCA...Quote:

What kind of a Spurs fan are you! The greatest joys in life :
"Spurs Fans, what is best in life? "
Spurs Fans : "To crush your enemies The Lakers, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women Kobes! "
?? They don't re-seed.Quote:

In the second round, Winner of 2 vs 7 in the first round plays winner of 3 vs 6 in the first round
I would pull for the Suns since I hate the Mavs more than any other NBA team.
I don't think it matters if the Spurs catch the Mavs or Suns since they have proven that they can beat either on their respective homecourts in a playoff series.
Right now, I just want to keep Utah in the rearview mirror since a first round match-up with Houston is possible. Not saying that Houston could beat the Spurs, but they could take a little more out of the Spurs and could hurt their chances since they would get Dallas in the semi's instead of the WCF.
Not exactly pointless. If the Spurs are two and the Suns are three, it gives the Spurs HCA over the Suns in the second round.Quote:

That Suns/Nuggets series would be entertaining. The Suns would win but it would be fun to watch the 130-120 games.Quote:

Oh well.
By the way, enough of this regular season crap. LET'S GET IT ON!
Your right about not reseeding, but the as for playing the Mavs, he said the only way they play the mavs is with the two seed.Quote:

Nuggets will receive Lakers tomorrow and if they win they will take back the 6th seed.
Nuggets and lakers won't maybe keep the 6/7 seed : Lakers are struggling (they are on a 6 game losing streak) and Nuggets have a very difficult remaining schedule.
In a facebook group titled "I WOULD RATHER PHOTOGRAPH GAY PORN THAN ROOT FOR THE DALLAS MAVERICKS"....so I'm thinking you can guess my answer.
True. But you can't really worry about who you are going to match up with. The Spurs just need to play good basketball and win as many games as possible. Last night they didn't play very good basketball.Quote:

I'm going to root for the suns, if I root for anyone at all.
Either I want the Mavs to win big or lose big. None of this 122-121 crap where the loser gets off thinking they are all that.
the suns all the way, i hate the mavs and that peanut head jason terry
Root for the mavs.
I don't know about you guys, but it's kind of sickening wishing for the Mavericks to win, but I will "root" for them because it is much more likely we get the 2 seed than the 1 seed.
What do we want pulled tonight? Lots O'Hamstrings. :)
Nice.Quote:

Definitely the Mavs!
Its time to catch Phoenix for the 2nd seed!!!

I say root for Phx. I still think there's a chance the Suns can catch Dallas for # 1. The thing is, they're mentally softer than Dallas. If we could play the Mavs in the 2nd round instead of the 3rd, then the WCF will be easy because the Suns will be scared as shit to play a Spurs team that knocked off the mighty Mavs.
Some team will lose and I'll be happy
F them both! I can't just root for Dallass! So I guess I will root for Suns only because I hate the Dallass Donkeys more!
Suns. I would rather play against the Lakers instead of get worn out with the Nuggets and their thugs. HCA won't mean anything to the Spurs.
If the 2 seed matters, root for the Mavs.
Personally I'm hoping they both lose. :smokin
mavs :devil
Oh yeah? figures....Quote:

Mavs all the way tonight... I want the 2 seed!

But, unfortunately, the logic of having the Mavs win and the Suns dropping a game back in the standings is too irresistable to pass on.
(very half-heartedly) Go Mavs.
My friend was wondering why I was so happy the Warriors won a few nights back. I told him it practically eliminated any letdown in the Suns game for the same reason.Quote:

Coming into this game, I was just hoping for a good one. I wasn't actually pulling for one team. Watching this though, I've caught myself cheering for the Suns.
I'm surprised a Game Blog wasn't started for this one!
Go Suns! :elephant
I like to see that the Mavs have weaknesses.
MAvs all the way....so we can steal phoenix N 2 playoff seed
Go Suns!!!!!!!!!!!!!
same here 2 seed is bigQuote:

Enough is enough.
Surely they will be talking about who's worthy of the MVP whoever wins this game.
That's very true. I thought about that earlier. There's just no good way really to answer the original question of this post.Quote:

Phoenix doing their usual cheap card table impersonation...
I had thought that I wanted Dallas to win, but while watching the game I find myself rooting for the Suns, I guess I cant hide my hate
It's one thing to score 38 in a quarter, but it's a WHOLE other to hold some one to, PHX none the less, 16. SHIT
thanks. :wakeupQuote:

I respect Marion but defensively? Now let's see if Marion can really bring his defense against the Mavs. Let's see how good he is...
Ahhhh...Come on Dirk, make both!
yes!
it worked!
Holy
Shit
Nash has been a monster down the stretch of this game.
Nash is an MVP, haters go away.
WOW.
Big shot Nash-ty.
It's going to Dirk?
