Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I say it ends at 18 against Golden State. Not because I think the Warriors are the magical streak busters, but because they'll have a tough game against Detroit, followed by a back-2-back of which Golden State is the 2nd game.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
It has ended, uh, unofficially.
Let me 'splain, DalMavs endofstreak = Spurs not worrying about it even less
IMO, streaks are for the fans.
In that case, the streak, for me, will never be broken!
But that's biased also, so at 17 it breaks, sounds good to me, I hate motivating the competition when they always use your crew to compare, compare, compare!

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I think vs. Detroit. Spurs have gotten by some less than stellar opponents by turning it on at the end. I think they'll show up a little too confident and that will be one of those games to hand them a healthy dose of humility.

I don't know exactly where the streak will end...but I am hoping that the team develops that killer instinct to extend the streak..Like they demonstrated in Portland when they were losing..

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I'm not really concerned with how far the streak goes, but rather how many of the next games they win.
I figure they will lose one of the next 3 for sure.
I would love to see them go 16-2 (62 wins) or 15-3 (61) to finish the season, and I didn't think that was possible even last month. I think anything less than 14-4 (60) at this point would be a disapointment at the level they are playing, unless it is a "rest hurt players" kind of loss for the last few games of the year.
Statistically, with a .714 win percentage this year, they would get 12-13 more wins and finish with 58-59 wins, which is excellent by any other standard than what Dallas/Suns are setting (and our own finish last year).

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?

I don't see it happening unless at the 24 game mark!

Maybe the Suns. If we continue to show this grittiness.
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Yeah, I'd guess Golden State or Detroit, which would put it at 16 or 18 games.

Utah will end the streak at 20.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Milwaukee.
If we beat Milwaukee, Boston and Indiana will have a hard time beating the Spurs in San Antonio. If we were playing a top team like Dallas or the Suns, the streak would be in much greater jeopardy, obviously. But, with such bottom dwellers, it seems like our win streak rests more on our concentration, effort and execution (defense and rebounding and taking care of the ball), than anything else.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I'm proud to say that I predicated at least a 13-game streak at the outset. Now I want to get greedy. I'll say the streak ends 3/26 - @ Golden State (at 18 games).
Only because it's a back-to-back game for the Spurs and the Warriors will run, run, and run some more. I don't expect those old legs to be able to keep up with the young Warriors.
If you remember, the Spurs caught the Warriors on the 2nd night of a B2B last season and the Warriors "ran them out of the gym". Recall that on that night, Warriors Andris Biedrins (who?), the 7'0" backup center from Latvia, had about 6 blocks (3-4 on Duncan alone), while tallying double figures in both points and rebounds. Dude played "like a man possessed" in a runaway Warriors win.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I see the Spurs running this thing out.
I'm going with a 31 game streak, I swear to god I will.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
3/26 - @ Golden State (at 18 games)

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Bucks will win, fired up under a new coach as often happens
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
None of those teams will beat the Spurs.
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
indiana, then they will win the rest of the games and go on another streak :smokin

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Start BELIEVE early:
Game 3 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
The Spurs have a very favorable schedule. Games against teams over .500 are in San Antonio. We all know that homecourt doesn't guarantee anything, but they've been playing so efficiently against their foes. I'd say they'll make team history and break their own 17-game winning streak unless they get hindered by injury
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Hopefully this streak will never end...

My guess is Golden State. They have a good chance for a couple of reasons: (1) they clearly have talent, and have broken up a long win streak recently, and (2) they have San Francisco in their favor. I'm afraid that some of the key players will go to the Castro District and party too hard, getting wasted and picking up shemales. They'll be too worn out to play.
P.S. Does anybody ever watch COPS, when they bust the guy for picking up a prostitute, only the police officer is the first one to realize the hooker is a man? The look on the man's face when the cop says, "You know, that hooker's a man" is unforgettable.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
As much as I would like to see the streak never end, I think the next loss will come at Golden State. After that game, the Spurs will run the table and finish the season on another streak.
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Golden State, 18 game win streak total.
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
This is the beginning of a 3 year streak. The spurs will not lose from now until March of 2010. Book that errwhatnot!?!

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
My few guesses:
tonight
Detroit
Utah
-
Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I say tonight... we've just gone too long without a letdown loss to a crappy team. We are primed to have this happen tonight.

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
Props to everyone who picked tonight :lol

Re: NOW FOR YOUR PREDICTIONS... Where Will the Streak End?
I think the steak ends at 13 games :rolleyes
