PREGAME

The Spurs' performance on their recent two-game West Coach road trip has them trying to add to a four-game win streak when they take on the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets tonight at the AT&T Center.

The Spurs have won 17 of their last 19 overall.

The Hornets have lost two of their last three games. They are playing in their third game in four nights after beating Houston on Sunday and losing to Dallas on Tuesday.

The Spurs' victory over the Warriors on Monday gave fans their first chance to see rookie James White in NBA action. Most of the talk centered on his alley-opp dunk. Two hours before tonight's game, the 6-foot-7 guard/forward was out on the floor working with Spurs assistant coach Chip Engelland. White was working primarily on his catch-and-shoot after coming off picks.

White is active for tonight's game.

Hornets shooting 31% and outscoring the Spurs, who are have a too-typical sucky first quarter.

I don't think you can. The league doesn't usually allow the local radio station to broadcast the games on the net.

He really put his whole repertoire on display the other night. Hit catch and shoot 3's, got a dunk, got a floater, and had that one drive...stop on a dime...rise up over you and shoot it from the freethrow line. He's feeling it, obviously.

They broadcast WOAI on 1200 out in Oklahoma City when the Spurs play. It's really kind of funny but has always been a great plus for a displaced Spurs fan.

Devin Brown

Marc Jackson
Hilton Armstrong

Jannero is very very streaky (hasn't been hot recently). Devin has been off the last couple of weeks (really off). Rasual has had an off year (although has been good recently). Marc rode the pine for 20 straight games for no apparent reason and Hilton is an extremely green rookie.
