Artest and Wallace started it, and Stephen Jackson was trying to fight everyone. A fan threw a beer on Artest and he charged the fan
let me guess ron artest is involved
Holy Shit
stephen jackson needs to grow up
I'll say it before and I'll say it again...Ron Artest is a cunt.
This is unreal
It was not Artest's fault...he was laying on the scorers table and a fan came up and threw a bottle of beer on him...the fan deserved to get killed, IMO.
He was a punk for going for that cheap shot foul.
Detroit fans are totally to blame.
Holy Cow. Ridiculous, I have never seen anything like this.
yeah kill a fan for throwing a drink on him
please kick the fan out there
but murder's deserve the 25 cent bullet not a fan throwing beer in your face
EASY FIX. No beer sales in Detroit.
that was not a cheap shot, it was a slightly hard foul....Wallace will be suspended for 5-10 games.
ducks, killed by getting the shit kicked out of him...you are a numbnuts, you know that?
Unreal.
I'm on the side of Artest surprisgly on this one, I wish he would have knocked a few teeth out of the guy who threw that.
I would have beat the shit out of the guy if I were Artest.
Hmm, anyone heard from FearDaFro?
The foul wasn't that bad
DAAAAMMMMNNN!!! That one dude who originally threw the beer got MAD slugged by SJax!!! The bastard deserved it!! Dumbasses like that are gonna get alcoholic beverages banned in sporting events. I can't believe how out of hand that got. All out melee. Gonna be interesting to see what transpires in the wake of this atrocity.
I still think Artest deserves anything a fan does to him. He's always been a punk when it comes to other players. Now he deserves to get treated like a punk.
Who do you suspend??? Stephen Jackson (I hate to sound corny but) SHAME ON YOU! It's official Ron Artest you've gone off the deep end. I'm still in shock.
Jackson will be suspended for 10 games as will Wallace. Artest might get 3 games.
Jermaine Oneal threw a running haymacker at a fat towel boy
dude got the knocked the fuck out, it took three ppl to pick him up
SJax dropped a nice one on a fan in the stands, Artest was being held by 5 ppl n takin shots, he broke lose n connected on a nice one
detroit is wild!
Indy is done for the year
they should put that fan and artest alone on centercourt and let artest beat the living fuck outta him. all those fans should be arrested and put in jail for the rest of their life with no parole.
This ought to boost sales on Artest's CD.
Artest was totally innocent, he was not getting involved in the fight with the charging Wallace...he was all by himself minding his on bi=usiness and he was attacked by the asshole.
heat actuallly might get the best record in east now with suspens help
Are you sure it was that fan? The little guy in black? How about that fatass beating on Jones? from behind, didn't even get a good lick in but backpedaled as soon as he got up.
I blame all parties equally.
This is, without doubt, the dumbest thing I've heard all year.Quote:

Whta about the over-under bet??? The game was called with a min to play....Vegas is going to have to do something.
Who gives a fuck about Vegas at a time like this?Quote:

haven't seen it yet, but how stupid or drunk do you have to be to attack a 6-8 player?
Give me a break...who's worrying about it besides you?Quote:

Leave it to Jim to immediately be concerned about the gambling implications.
all the scummy fans in Detroit that participated need to serve time in jail and be banned from any events at the arena for life. I'm even talking about those that through drinks as the players were leaving. The is no fucking excuse for what the pathetic Piston fans did.
what the he!! was the final score anyway ?Quote:

What sucks though is that like in a game if something comes upThere will be Tech fouls, penaltyys in football, etc. Calling the game isn't good enough of a penalty for Pistons fans. They should spot the other team 5 pts in the next 5 games for that crap.
Sweet. I bet Rasho would have hidden under a chair.
Shoog...I assure you, I am not the only one with his asshole tightened up on this one. The Vegas book is in deep shit right now with a lot of pissed off bettors. You have the straight up bets, you habve bettors who have parlays with this game as part of their bet, you have trifectas....this is going to be bad.
Someone please make a video of the whole thing.
BTW, did I hear right that a beer bottle was thrown at Artest? Anytime anyone's ever thrown a glass bottle at me shit's happened, and I don't fault Artest at all if this is the case.

Shit happens. Vegas has nothing to do with it. Win or lose.... that's betting.
I mean make a video and post it online - the whole thing, not just highlights. I gotta see this and it sounds too good to just catch the short version on SportsCenter.
i bet rasho would have beat the hell out of everybodyQuote:

Artest and Jackson will get at least 10 games each for going up in the stands even thought the fans instigated things. Wallace 2-5 games. [QUOTE=SPURS21]Glad to be a spurs fan but wathcin that live on tv was the hi lite of my nite
Just to think if I would have gone out tonight I would have missed this.
definitely justified, Artest was the bigger man by walking away from Wallace after that shove.
Man...I was rewinding the thing on my DVR...rewatching the fight...and then it occurs to me that I should record this...once the fan fighting starts up. So I hit record (I was just rewinding the buffer before) and the freaking thing started recording fromt that moment..which was after the fight.
So I lost all the actual fight scenes. The damn thing is supposed to record everything I was watching when I hit record...not just from that moment. Thats half the reason it has the damn buffer.
I'm so pissed I could just chuck a cup of beer at a Time warner employee.
Then Wallace should get 20.Quote:

Jim, you don't EVER go after fans for throwing a beer. That's not even self defense, as you can't be hurt by beer. The bottles are even fucking plastic now. Stern will throw the entire library at Artest this time. What a dumbfuck.
Detroit should take away the tickets of the fans involved, but they fans could also very well press charges. This was assault, not self defense.
Totally classless behavior by the Piston fans. Completely inexcusable. I can maybe understand Artest seeing red and losing it for a while but Jackson acted like a complete moron. He'll get the longest suspension by far. I'm anxious to see how the league is going to deal with this. This reflects very poorly on the league's image and I think Stern will crack down hard. One thing is for sure, two powerhouse teams will be crippled by suspensions for a long time.
Leave to a jackass to take a shot at RashoQuote:

Old timers will tell you that fights with the fans were not unheard of back in the 50s and early 60s.
Yes, it's very bad. But not Armageddon.
P.S. How come nobody punched Jim Gray?
Yeah, Artest could've gotten off proving a lot of people wrong about him... now he's just one step closer to permanant expulsion from the league. Unfortunate.
Ex is right. Getting beer on you is not a license for assault. Let security do their job, or face the consequences if they fail to do so.
tell that to guy who got drunk on beer, threw it at artest and got his ass beat. he got hurt cuz of beerQuote:

SJax is tuff as nails

Been watching ESPNews and they showed an angle where Jackson cold clocked a fan that was looking at the Artest/idiot fan.
Seriously the fan was just looking and Jax punch the dude right in his grill.
Couldn't agree more. Artest is a punk too.
I'll tell it to Ronnie Nutjob. We need a vbookie on this. If they suspend Sprewell for the rest of the seaon for going after his coach in a private gym with no media or video, I'll drop EVERY vbookie $ on Artest being gone for the year. That'll hurt now, won't it?Quote:

if this is the first time players and fans were engaged in a fight I feel that the suspensions should be big, just to settle a precedent. If they give 5 games to this thug trifecta what would stop them next time if they want to jump on an obnoxious fan, certainly not 5 games.
Ex, you try to remain calm when some fuck hits you with a bottle of beer when you are laying down. Artest should have chased the dude down and pummeled him to the point of unconsciousness, that is the truth.
I've had beer poured on me at a game before (I was being an obnoxious Bama fan in Auburn) but I never punched the shit out of some guy half my size.Quote:

Did you see the guy who threw the beer???? He looks like the captain of the local high school debating team. DUDE WAKE UP YA PUSS!!!! HE'S A PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE. That's what happens when guys can't get laid.
I'm very curious as to whether or not Artest went after the right guy. After looking at replays, that little guy seemed pretty surprised that Artest started coming after HIM.
Surely there will be a plethora of angles to show who threw the instigative beer.
Artest will not get as many games as Wallace who started the whole thing. Jackson needs to get the most, and will...I will bet you on that.
did you see the guy who threw the beer face, when artest jump into the stands he was like Oh Shit! Artest pop him and was attacked by the other fans, Then SJAX hit the same good right in the face.
ben wallace should be the only player with a suspension. the fans responsible should be tracked down and locked in a room with all the pacers players, and whatever they get is deserved. bunch of pussies
It's either a plastic bottle or a paper cup of beer. Give me a break Jim.Quote:

AUBURN HILLS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Stephen Jackson made quite a first impression on the overheated rivalry between the Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons.
Jackson delivered knockout punches of all kinds as the Pacers brawled with fans in the stands and on the court after a 97-82 victory over the Pistons, a game that was called with 45 seconds to play.
In one of the craziest melees in NBA history, Jackson, Ron Artest and Jermaine O'Neal all delivered haymakers to unruly Pistons fans, who showed the worst side of their behavior by throwing everything from plastic bottles to chairs at members of the Pacers.
The Pacers fought back - literally. Several went into the stands to accost fans who had thrown things. Jackson climbed into the seats and landed a roundhouse right that floored a fan who had thrown a plastic beer bottle at Artest, hitting him in the face.
Fans continued to throw things and verbally accost members of the Pacers. Several came onto the court and one took a fighting stance against Artest, who dropped him with a punch. O'Neal ran over and floored another fan with a righthanded blow.
Fighting with each other minutes earlier, the Pacers and Pistons quickly teamed up to fight off the fans.
Referees called the game, which forced the Pacers to make their way through a gauntlet of angry fans who continued to throw objects despite pleas from Pistons coach Larry Brown. Players and team officials were showered with beer, soda and popcorn.
Acquired in the offseason, Jackson is new to this rivalry, which peaked with the Pistons defeating the Pacers in six physical games in last season's Eastern Conference finals.
He scored 13 points, including a dagger 3-pointer and dunk less than 40 seconds apart that ended a rally by the Pistons and gave the Pacers a 93-79 lead with 3:52 to play.

that fucking fan throwing punches was some big black dude that was at least 250lbs, he was not some little fuck. the guy that threw the beer was black too and he was also not a small man...he deserved to get the shit kicked out of him.
Damn I love Ron Artest. Fuck being the bigger man; don't take shit from anyone.
It's liquid and plastic, Jim. Think: 16 oz "bottle" of soda. I would remain calm if there were millions of dollars at stake, as Ronnie Nutjob is going to find out that there were. :lmaoQuote:
