Damn...the game blogs are starting earlier and earlier before every game....:)
2-2 going back to SA, book it :smokin
We should win this one. Just pass the ball to TD.
I was wrong with my 20-point win prediction in game 3.
Spurs will win game 4 by 20 points. I expect the Thugget cheap shots to get worse.
Ginobili will come back, and Findawg and RoHo still making shots. Nuggets will fight though, Spurs in 9
Dear Spurs:
Please work the ball in to Tim on at least 75% of the possessions.
Sincerely,
Every Spurs fan in the world
Reward Fabricio, let him start, let he and Tim trash the Nugg's paint.
Now isn't the time to mess with starting lineups. Thats the sign of a desperate team (IE the Mavs).
yeah, I know, Pop thinks changing the starters is huge dramatic upheaval.
Start Francisco, but give Fabricio 35+ minutes. The more he plays with Tim and Robert, the better it will be in May/June.
Must win for the Nuggets. If we lose this one it's over in 5. If they have any heart at all then this will be the game to prove it.
If the Wariors can go up 3-1 so can we.
This game will be more physical than game 3, and by that I mean that Denver's going to play more thuggish. Fuckin throwin Tony around, digging their fingernails into Manu's skin, hacking the shit out of Tim, Karl bitching to the refs after AI doesn't get his calls, AI getting more of our press people's credentials revoked, etc...
Hide the women and children
Don't let the foot off the gas. Let's finish this on Wednesday.
Just like I predicted in the last game, the Spurs just need to take care of the ball and capitolize on Denver mistakes. Spurs by < 10 pts.

It's gonna be a fight, but it's one the Spurs can win. Let's see who the Denver media will christen as the goat tonight.
It's obvious that Denver will throw in everything but the kitchen sink. San Antonio knows that, therefore, they'll just keep their poise and win. Denver is now on the panic attack...so... their focus on shooting will not be as clear as they'll be shooting all kinds of ill-advised shots just to get their crowd roaring. All the Spurs need to do is play aggressive defense and let the chips fall where they may. But honestly though, this series was over during game 3. That "must win" that Karl mentioned was where their passion was deflated.
Reality check,
Spurs advance to the WC semi-finals in game 5.
Tim even said it in his post game comments. Something like: It was really physical in there and he was sore. He thought the one day off would be enough to recover.Quote:

I think the Spurs will be doubly motivated tonight. They need to leave the Nuggets no room for hope and confidence. And the Dallas disaster has to put them in an extra gear.
prepare for some flagrant fouls coming our way

Spurs win but it will be close 98-94. This will be the game that breaks their hearts as the Spurs do what the Denver could not do in last 2 games.
I'm not worried about that, just stating an example to DarrinS' statement.Quote:

Tony, Bruce, TD, Manu, Finley, Horry - Defense at a priority. Go into constant motion, no open lanes, no open shots, nothing in the paint mode
I just hope we can get through this game without a major injury... because you know the Thuggets will be in full force. Manu needs to watch the back of his head for "sucker punch" pussy Melo.
I think it's another close game, and Manu will be off the hook tonight. He always steps it up in front of the Denver fans.
Expect some flagrants near the end if it's a Spur blowout.
Spurs really haven't played all that great against the Nuggets. Luckily, we've had two good games from Finley, Horry, and Oberto. If Tim, Tony, and/or Manu bring their "A" game, Denver is toast.
James White!
This would give us a strangle hold on the series, if we can win it.
Even if we lose, we aren't in bad shape, but if we win, we're in terrific position.
Prob not gonna win this.
Keep it close for 3 quarters and fight better for rebounds.
MORE 4 DOWN!!
Spurs are a lock, so says my vbookie bet. I picked last nights winner and the streak will continue. You have nothing to fear. Spurs will assert themselves and force their will upon them. Nuggets will unravel tonight.

I, myself, like 4 down, especially when we need a bucket (also Manu and Tim pick and roll).
However, we are going to have to find a way to get some points in the paint/easier field goals.
Not enough of Tony and Manu getting to the rim or at least in the paint.
Agreed.Quote:

In this respect, TPark was ahead of me.
I thought that Denver's defense was more porous and that their terrible outside shooting would hurt them more. I also expected better games out of our big 3. They were okay the last couple of games, but not near their best (any of them).
Did any of you know that MANU was named sportsman of the year in Argentina???
Come on Spurs, kick their asses and let's win this one. :flag: :flag: :flag:
Hasn't he won that award since in 2004? :spinQuote:

Win it. Simple.
Shooters need to be knocking down their shots like last game. Manu needs to get to the line while creating for others. Parker needs to make the Nuggets pay when he has a mismatch. Duncan needs to control the defensive end and be efficient yet aggressive on the block.
This is going to be the Nuggets best effort of the series. They know that if they win this game, the pressure goes back on the Spurs.
Get this one.
Good luck tonight Spurs.
you mean he already hasnt? *gulp*Quote:

The Spurs will continue to control the tempo on both ends of the floor. They will run when available, but keep Denver mostly in the half court torture chamber.
Tony and Manu will get hammered taking it to the hole all night. They will draw at least ten fouls on drives including two flagrant fouls. Like the professionals they are, both will walk to the line rack up the free points and then continue to attack the middle at the next opportunity.
1.
What is that 1. for???Quote:
