Amare & Diaw one game each. Horry gets 2 games
Just reported on ESPN.
Just saw on ESPN.
I believe Amare is out one game and Horry is out two...
:rolleyes
Just saw that on ESPN also...
Yep, saw it too.
link? Or did you hear it on the radio or TV?
FUCK YOU David Stern.
Didn't expect Horry to get 2...
I think Horry should have gotten 1 game and Bell a $50,000 fine, but at least they upheld their rules. They did the right thing.
Is this official?
Wow!
This bodes horrible for the spurs. Now Oberto and Elson play more minutes and we lost our smartest player for 2 games.
Horry obviously got suspended for more bc of the forearm to Bell. Sucks.
Yes...the broke in on ESPN for a "Special Report"...how funny is that...
Stoudemire, Diaw suspended one game

The NBA today suspended Suns forwards Amare Stoudemire and Boris Diaw one game for leaving the bench during a skirmish that took place during the closing minutes of Game 4 in San Antonio.
Stoudemire and Diaw will not play in Wednesday's Game5 of the Western Conference semifinals at US Airways Center.
The best-of-seven series — already known for its physical nature — is tied 2-2.
Robert Horry was suspended two games. The Spurs veteran started the scuffle with a hard foul on Suns guard Steve Nash with 18.2 seconds left in Phoenix's 104-98 win Monday.
Horry received a 1st Flagrant Type 2 foul and was ejected. Stoudemire and Diaw left the bench, they claim, for different reasons. Stoudemire said he was walking to the scorer's table to check into the game. Diaw said he was just checking to see if Nash was OK.
"I don't think I really came off the bench," Diaw said before the suspension was announced. "I just wanted to see if Steve was hurt."
NBA rules state that during an altercation, "all players not participating in the game must remain in the immediate vicinity of their bench. Violators will be suspended, without pay, for a minimum of one game and fined up to $35,000. The suspensions will commence prior to the start of their next game."
The suspensions leave the Suns shorthanded and without their leading scorer. Stoudemire has averaged 23.5 points and 10.3 rebounds against the Spurs, despite recent foul trouble limiting his minutes. He was the only Suns player to participate in every game this season, regular-season and playoffs combined.
Diaw has averaged 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22.8 minutes. Along with Leandro Barbosa, he is often the first Suns reserve off the bench.
Suns coach Mike D'Antoni wasn't immediately available to comment on the suspensions.
After practice earlier Tuesday, D'Antoni said he wasn't sure who would join his usual eight-man rotation if Stoudemire and Diaw can't play. James Jones or Leandro Barbosa could join Nash, Raja Bell, Kurt Thomas and Shawn Marion in the lineup.
"I'm not there yet, I don't even want to think about it,'' he said. "Somebody's going to log some minutes, I know that much.''
Possibilities include Pat Burke and Jalen Rose.
Rose, a veteran with Finals experience, hasn't played in the Western Conference semifinals, but played nine minutes in Game 2 against the Lakers.
"Everybody feels ready, but until you get out there .. you have to wait and see,'' Rose said.
They had to give Horry 2 if they we're gonna give Amare and Diaw one each.Quote:

Because if the Spurs do win the series, we'll never hear the end of it. :(
No link, it's on ESPN...
Yep. Just heard it on local news
Why watch basketball anymore?
I need the football season to start.
Let the moaning begin...
Yeah Boy!!!
Suspending Horry - with no recent history of hard fouls - 2 games is bullshit.
So is suspending Diaw and Stoudemire.
What a fucking joke the NBA has become.
Beamer just said.... :clap
yah its true espn just reported it
:clap Look on the bright side. This means both teams will be full strength come game 7.
i bet the league hated to do it, but even they cant break their own rules
Stoudemire and Diaw 1 game. Horry 2 games. I think the Horry suspension made no sense since he already got ejected from the game. Oh well, those are the breaks!
Yeah but Horry just hip checked Nash...he didn't throw an elbow to his head or anything...I was expecting a 1 game...the other two were no brainers per the rules...
Here that sucks http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...nba&id=2871602
WOAI just reported that it has not been announced by the NBA, but the AP is reporting 2 for Horry, 1 each Amare and Diaw
A Flagrant 2 is an automatic suspension.
Wow, its gonna be a crazy hyped environment at tomorrow night's game.
it's true
lol, suns are fucked
where is your god now d'antoni?
I'll take it.
Agreed. Just let them play. This is a fucking stupid rule, I want to see the game decided on the court.Quote:

Best Spurs trade since Malik for Nazr
the suspension is about right, Horry really decked Nash big time.
I don't think we would've heard the end of it even if they didn't get suspended. The Spurs will forever hold this "dirty" label over their heads....at least for a while anyway.Quote:

Wow, just wow!
Yes from an anonymous source..
Harsh on Horry should have just been 1 game IMO. It still costs the suns more as they will lose in 6 now.
Crap.
Amare and Boris should have been fined, and Rob should have gotten one game.
So, who will play Rob's minutes? Oberto? Red Rocket? :lol
The suns are going to come out firing..im still predicting its going to be a great game.
Bullshit suspensions all around. Horry deserved one game - the 1 game for Amare and Diaw is bullshit.
Expect a rule change this summer.
So, does this mean Duncan and Bowen are safe? Would have they suspended them along with Amare and Diaw?
There is no game 7. The Spurs will win the next two games. It's written in the stone.
Enjoy it guys...hopefully most Spurs fans don't want to win this way.
Punk ass pussy.Quote:

Good job NBA
I knew the league didnt have the balls not to suspend any players. What a pussy league and Horry did not deserve 2 games for that. This league sucks!

I never thought I'd be sickened by something one of these Spurs did, but Horry really crossed the line last night. Sit him.
:hat
The big question is -- will Kiwi boy suit up and shut down Duncan?
Horry deserved two for sure, a flagrant two at that point in the game deserved a suspension in the first place, add to that his elbow to Bells neck/head got him another...
told you people horry would get 2 games

PHOENIX -- Phoenix center Amare Stoudemire and teammate Boris Diaw have been suspended for one game for leaving the bench after Robert Horry's hard foul of Steve Nash in Game 4 of the Suns' Western Conference semifinal against San Antonio, a person with knowledge of the penalty said Tuesday.
Horry was suspended for two games after knocking Nash into the scorer's table with 18 seconds remaining in the Suns' 104-98 victory in San Antonio Monday night that evened the best-of-seven series 2-2, said the person, who sought anonymity because the official announcement had not yet been made.
Fuck it!
I'll take it!
The Spurs have been clobbered all series long by the Suns under the basket with no alls on the Uns.
The Uns pick out a couple of plays here and there. Fact is the Uns have been mugging Tim Duncan, Manu and Tony on just about EVERY play when they go to the basket and the Spurs have gotten almost No calls!
Horry deserved a break. He's such a classy guy.Quote:

Horry doesn't matter, if Pop holds true to form I doubt he appears in this series again...
Willis didn't.
And BTW, I don't think what Horry did was that big of a deal...it certainly shouldn't come as any kind of surprise to SpursFans...
And being a fan base and organization that jumps at every chance they get to sign a dog killer or wife beater...that high horse you think you are on, is actually a shetland...
That might have something to do with the bowen stuff.Quote:

No it isn't. It's an automatic ejection, with the possiblity of a fine of up to $35,000 and a suspension.Quote:

I understand the suspensions, I hate how the 'rule' gives no wiggle room. A great series is being ruined with Diaw and Amare forced to sit for that.
how about a first round exit for a 1st seeded team against an 8th seeded team?
I smell victory tomorrow night for the Spurs folks!
99 wasn't an asterisk but this one sure is.
I'm sure Duncan will probably dominate the low post now.
The NBA just handed the series to the Spurs. No doubt. We got the best end of the stick. Horry causes all of this crap and we get the best end of the deal. WOW.
Yeah - Horry's fucking foul wasn't that bad.
This is bad news for Spurs fans though. Amare isn't what makes that team go round. Neither is Diaw. Its Nash. Nash can easily beat the Spurs on his own - he did it last night.
The chip that should have been on the Spurs shoulder after a loss is now squarly on the shoulder of the Suns. When you add in how poorly the Spurs have fared against shorthanded teams then I'm really not happy about this one bit.
Not good news AT ALL.
Does this mean you know we'll win our fourth?Quote:

I sort of understand Spurs fans wanting the win any way they can get it, but if you're honest, even Spurs fans can agree on this: If the Spurs win game 5 and then the series, it's tainted. You may not agree that it's "unfair," since you can point to the black and white rule, and maybe you won't agree that Horry "caused" the suspensions, since Amare and Diaw are ultimately responsible for their own actions, but nothing will change the fact that you didn't play the Suns at full strength.
Sucks for everyone.
A great series is because Amare and Diaw are brain dead morons.
Spurs get rewarded for playing dirty. Nice.
Ha ha ha!!! You guys are too fucking funny. Go back to your MVP circle jerk, lord knows the Mavs and their fans don't have anything better to do after the second consecutive worst choke in NBA playoff history.
"two asterisks" >>>>>>>>>>>> two HUGE CHOKES
Asterisk is a lot better then winning 67 reg season games and losing to an 8th seed. :lmao :lmao :lmao
Not really. This team can't keep up with San Antonio without STAT's rebounding and inside scoring. Our only chance is to win game six.
They had no choice at all the rule is the rule. I kept citing the Knicks in 97 when they lost basically half their team over a situation like this. They can and i think will change the rule in the offseason but they can't make the exemption during a series like this they had to suspend them.Quote:

lol @ spurs fans trying to angle this as not being a good thing for them. the series was just handed to you assholes. congratulations.
