Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
I seriously doubt it.
But if it wasn't for Nash adding to the foul, all of this could have probably been avoided.
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
yes. this is nashs fault....
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
I'm not saying your siding with the spurs here.
But if you read Lakersground.net and then you look at the GS, Sac and Mabs fans reactions. THe Dynasties seem to stick together, while the pretenders all congregate together.
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
Actually if you want to call someone out, call out the refs. Finley fouled Nash before it ever got to Horry's hip check.

that's a very good take, but it's their whole whiny attitude that led to this crap.

I doubt it as well, and I do also partly blame Nash for this

Not denying that only pointing out that the Suns flop all over the floor. I played hockey growing up Horry's hit was a good one, but Nash oversold it.

I'm not taking the Spurs side, but as an impartial observer it's obvious Nash sold the call. Horry should have been given a flagrant 1 and that's it. But Nash went for the flagrant 2 and the suspension. It wasn't needed and this is the result.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
Steve is known for trying to attack players after he flops. Angry canadian bastard.
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
This is incredible. Nash didn't have to play this foul up in any way, shape or form. I love all you fat people in LA/SA who have never played basketball before acting like you know what it's like to be hit by somebody while running at a high rate of speed.
Whining? They're not the only ones who have done that, buddy... although when the precedent is set by Ray Allen, Mark Cuban, Vince Carter and 'Zeke,' I really don't have much of a defense team to back me up. However, objective reporters out there have sided with the Suns in saying the Spurs are dirty and crafty. I don't think Nash is whining when he gets slammed into the boards after being held by Bowen all game and then jumps up to grab Horry's jersey.
-

Not only Manu, but Parker flops and Oberto is one of the worst (seriously, please go count how many times Oberto fell while setting a screen/trying to get a rebound). Pretty much Duncan is only the guy who plays straight up out there for the Spurs.
Suns don't flop all over the court and if you read arguments ponky and I had earlier this year, she said that was one of the reasons she hated watching Nash play in Dallas because he never sold the calls!! Bell flops all the time, I'll admit, but Nash takes some strong charges in there and you guys forget that he's not that big a guy... I don't think he was plotting Horry's suspension by selling a call. Incredible.

Your the athlete extraordinare? Calling citys fat and acting like your the only one who has ever played sports. Shut the fuck up whiney bitch, my 16 year old brother could have taken that hit better. If Nash hadnt acted like he had just been hit by Urlacher maybe his bitch coach wouldnt have reacted like that which in turn got his teamates off the bench

HaHa you're the one that's never played any sports. Tell us again how you flew 15 feet in the air.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
Horry definitely earned his suspension but I get the point they are trying to make. If he had controled himself instead of flopping his teammates might have controled themselves.
Every team has a flopper but it usually works for you not against you. Not really his fault it was definitely on Horry but this time it came to bite him in the ass. Now the suns lost two important guys in their rotation mostly stoudamire, SA lost...exactly.

Wow. this is the most pathetic display I've seen from a fan base ANYWHERE in all my years of following sports. After Horry delivers a cheap shot that could have potentially injured one of the best players in the game and one of the best role models for kids, you blame the player on the receiving end and actually have the nerve to gloat after the Suns' second best player gets ejected as a result of your cheap shot. Horry has 50 pounds on Nash. Is he supposed to challenge the laws of physics in addition to beating your team?
What an utter disgrace the Spurs have become.

That's right i too think Jrich and Bdavis should be suspended.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
How many Spurs were ejected for leaving the bench when Juwan Howard took out Derek Anderson again?
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
This comes from the top down. All the whining started by the sun's coaches will be their demise. They should have tried other methods. That's the main reason why now they have 2 guys suspended plus Nash overselling this stuff. He won 2 MVPs but I don't see him being a class act at all as some people say. He is a very good basketball player though. He does indeed flops and is a sneaky bastard drawing inexistant fouls.

So there was no flop at all on Nash's part? right....
Seriously Im man enough to admit Horry made a piss poor judgement in body checking Nash last night, are you man enough to say that Nash jumped to sell the contact? If he hadn't flopped the team wouldn't have tried to race to his rescue.

What the fuck are you talking about. How many flopping fouls does Parker draw, offense or defense. He gets screwed on FTs more than any other player in the league. Nash flops, that bitch Raja is on his back more than Paris Hilton. Classic case game three where he pretended to fall over Oberto trying to get a foul with the gun about to sound. Diaw flops. Thomas flops against Duncan constantly. Suns are now far and away the biggest flopping teaam in the NBA. Get a TV and watch a Suns' game sometime.

I think Nash put a little extra mustard with the spread eagle bit at the end of it but it looked like Stoudemire and Diaw were already coming on the floor.
I don't think anyone learned anything other than don't let the league office have to decide something regarding the Spurs because the Spurs always come out on top.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
amare and diaw should have kept their asses planted on the bench. i don't see how horry gets suspended when davis doesn't, especially for 2 games. i can see one game if it's for the elbow to raja, but the foul did not warrant a suspension. i imagine the 2 games is because they consider him to have instigated the "altercation", and if they are suspending 2 suns it had to be more than one game i guess.

The Suns fans are saying that the Spurs would have jumped up off the bench if their guy had gotten hit like that, but the Spurs lost their second best player for the playoffs due to a cheap shot at the end of the first half of game 1 of a playoff series and nobody from the Spurs got suspended for rushing to beat the shit out of Juwan Howard. In fact, nobody left the bench when Juwan flagrant fouled Malik Rose a couple of games later.
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
The Suns fell into their own trap. I think it's hilarious. THEY started this 'spurs are dirty' business and trying to influence/taint the series. Suns are like the coyote getting blown up by his own dynomite.....
-
Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
I think that if Nash was going to flop he wouldnīt try to hurt himself by throwing his body to the scorers table.
The fact that Hory got a 2 game suspension is a way of that fuckface of jackson to accept that Amare and Diaw didnīt deserve a suspencion at all. But all of you spursfans can rejoice all you want. This series is not over by any means and if the spurs eventually win, this "win" will come with a footnote. A footnote the size of the NBA.
PS: Of all the posters in this forum, there are just a few worth reading. Everyone is a homer, that is part of being a fan. But you guys go around talking like you are the shit, and at the end of the day, you are just a bunch of homers like the rest of us.

Raja is best flopper in the world. He has it down to a science. Usually you can't even tell he's flopping.
Nash's flops are obvoius when you look at it later on tape.
Anyways, I want the NBA to clean up Nash's tactics of holding and running into opponents right after handing the ball off to a teammate.

Nash obviously embellished an already nasty foul. He looked like Tom Cruise getting smashed into that car in the last mission impossible, except it seems he went upwards.

Omg people quit acting like Nash is the first player ever to flop, it happens every single fucking game. Here's a question, which came first the hit or the flop? If Horry wouldn't have checked Nash like that then none of this would have happened. I blame it all on that arm biting Robert Horry.

Im not blaming it all on him, but to me, he should have some blame put on him. The foul in yesterdays Cavs game on Sasha Pavlovic by Moore was much worse, and he just popped back up like it was nothing. If Nash had done this immediately instead of acting like a soccer player, maybe those players are their in game 5. I do think it was a hard and unwarranted foul by Horry, but Nash should have been a man about it

I find it funny how you say Parker gets screwed on freethrows more than any other player in the league. I beg to differ, I think Nash hardly every goes to the freethrow line and he does drive to the basket like Tony so don't try to argue that he doesn't.

You said he drives to the basket the same as Parker in your previous post. Now you are changing it when called on it. You throw lots of stupid observations out there as facts; expect people to respond and try to figure out a way to deal with it other than calling people names. I'm sure you are still angry because your players are too stupid to stay on the bench, but taking out your aggressions by being tough on the Interweb won't help matters.

What hatchet job? Parker head butting Nash in the nose? Bowen kicking Nash in the nuts while Nash was trying to bring up the ball? The Spurs magically pulling Amare and Diaw away from the bench? Just because the Suns fans have been complaining about calls and throwing stupid labels around doesn't suddenly make it accurate.

WOW! Spurs fans are even lower than their players... trying to blame this shit on Nash???? Go climb back into your nasty rancid riverwalk and sink into the scum that you all are!
CHEAP SHOT BOB! - Officially Horry's new nickname.
Suns are the classiest team in the league and so are their fans.

Yes, because it's not Amare's fault that he got up and ran toward Horry, it's Horry's fault. Real consistent, there.

Does it really matter?
Horry started it all but needlessly tackling Nash.
Which come first? The chicken or the egg?
Suns fans here at Spurstalk need to just STFU and see what happens. This team is damn good when facing adversity.
I'll say this - the Spurs damn well better win game 5. A loss to a crippled Suns team is unthinkable.
I'd even go so far as to call it a "must-win" for San Antonio.
Meanwhile, the Suns can just play loose and see what happens.

But you guys go around talking like you are the shit, and at the end of the day, you are just a bunch of homers like the rest of us.
your're a whiner and a moron. Go jump on some desert cactuses and that goes for the rest of the clueless suns "fans" posters.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
I'm not counting the Suns out in Game 5. Remember what happened last year when Bell got suspended? The Suns went to LA and kicked the Laker's ass without him! This will motivate the Suns.
If the Suns win without Amare, the Spurs will be the new NBA laughing stock (hope you're all pulling for us Mav's fans! oh, and congrats on Dirk's MVP today)

Classy fans, taking shots at our city. Fuck off!! I am not condoning what Robert did, It was nasty, It was wrong. I wish it hadn't happened. I am not blaming what happened on Nash, I am simply saying he MAY have imbelished the hit. MAY HAVE read some of the posters, nobody is blaming Nash. Take the blinders off. I understand you are angry, but Damn.
If you are so classy, take the high road. If you can find it. If not leave our board, you will not be missed!

Have you been to the riverwalk? The San Antonio river IS nasty. I lived in SA for 4 years so I can say that. I had to move back to Phoenix, not because of the city... there are some nice things about SA... but I couldn't stand watching boring dirty Spurs ball. Plus there are ZERO hot chicks!

Yeah but that was Bell and Lakers, this is Amare/Diaw and Spurs.
If Suns win tomorrow I would take it as the biggest upset in NBA history.

Because most of the times the only chicks you saw were your mom and the biatches in your family.
SA is an amazing city.

Re: Will this play finally teach Nash and the Suns not to flop...
He just never got laid in SA. A mystery, considering how obviously classy he is.

It won't quite be up there with The Mavs epic playoff loss which made grown men weep, spiked suicide rates in DFW and changed history books around the world, but it would definitely shakeup the organization if the Spurs went on to lose the series.
