I think Amare being suspended actually helped the Suns. Had he played, the Spurs would have been at the FT line a lot more.
Come on Dude...That 1st quarter was scary...I was beginning to wonder if Gregg Popovich was going to get a “T” for farting...The refs gave the Suns every call possible...
i wonder if sun fan would've been arguing for an asterisk back in '92 when his team defeated a spurs team without david robinson in the 1st round. of course, that would've required the suns to have actually won a championship. rofl.
my bad, sun fan probably hadn't been birthed by then.
I didn't see them bitching in 00 when Duncan was out.
Not the wisest take in the world. Champions overcome ADVERSITY to pull out critical wins. Sometimes champions create that adversity by only putting up 13 points in the first quarter.Quote:

And by your reasoning, not only do the Spurs previous championship runs not matter, but Shaq and Kobe need to give back their hardware because "champions are made by winning the tough games that you shouldn't win." In each of the recent Spurs and Lakers championship runs, they were SUPPOSED to win most games and the championship during those playoffs.
You're trying perhaps too hard to heal broken hearts and reaching for meaningless justifications of the outcome of a basketball game. Your team played admirably and emotionally yesterday They lost. Its done. We'll see what happens in Game 6. Meanwhile, the players still get paid.
Rich, indeed. :rolleyes
and another. funny how the suns have been the beneficiary of the spurs having their stars completely out in two different postseasons. and we have to hear their bellyaching about not having a supporting star for one game which was on their homecourt? fuck em.Quote:

Its funny to see some Suns fans actually side with Laker fans about the Jacksonian Asterisk.
So tell me Stargazer...who is putting this asterisk on this series? You? Mike D'Antoni? Robert Sarver?
The only entity that decides such things is the NBA...they didn't apply one in 1999 and they won't here. Its all in your heads.

I love how Suns fans are already throwing in the towel, basically saying the Suns have no chance to win Game 6 and 7.
Losers.
I agree. People seem to forget that even though the season was shortened, the playoffs were the same length they always were.Quote:

My question is this...if the Spurs only won because of the shortened season....what does that say about the teams who couldn't win despite the shortened season.
Spurs Championships, A National Media Perspective:
1999 - *Lockout Shortened Season
2003 - *Dirk Hurt in WCF
2005 - *Lakers Split up
Pending:
2007 - *Amare's an Idiot
i'm glad we have sun fan here to tell us what it takes to win championships. hosers.
they have been watching the finals the last few years.Quote:

Careful sir! If you come with logic to this board, they'll blame you for being a Spurs fan in disguise.Quote:

No one knows or will ever know how the game may have played out with Amare, Diaw, and Horry playing.
:cry sun fan crying about having a supporting star out for one game in every thread. beautiful.
