Fabulous Fabricio!!!!!!!!!!!
Didn't see that one coming.Quote:

there should be absolutely no doubt who is our center
GAME 1: 14 pts, 6-8 FG, 7 Rebs
GAME 2: 14 pts, 6-7 FG, 7 Rebs
GAME 3: 5 pts, 2-2 FG, 4 Rebs (everyone was shit that day)
GAME 4: 11 pts, 4-8 FG, 11 Rebs (6 offensive)
GAME 5: 7 pts, 3-5 FG, 10 Rebs (4 offensive)
oh and in crutch time, i believe a lineup w/ oberto is better than a lineup w/ horry
Respect to Fabricio - many of us wrote you off before the season, and now you're making us eat our words.
May your basketball Renaissance continue... as long as it is with the Spurs!
Big game player. I guess we all should have seen this coming. Those damn Argentines, and playing with balls in big games. Gotta love 'em.
Oberto has been the man. :tu
He was a difference maker, and he deserved it.
The Church Of Oberto is officially OPEN
Oberto played like crazy in this series! Hope he can keep up in the Finals!
Congrats Fab
Oberto has been awesome! :toast
If the Spurs win it all (if?), I already have a special sig coming for the summer, and Oberto has earned his place in it.
Obeeeeertooooooo !!
:clap :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap
Oberto has done awesome this series; it makes me wonder what hecould have done with as much minutes in the previous two series and last year....
True. Should have known he was here for a reason! pop never does ANYTHING without a reason. :lolQuote:

THIS ONE IS FOR FINLEY!
Fab was definitely huge. Hopefully he will step up again in the finals.
great job FABRI!
Thank You Oberto !!!

You ROCK Fabri!!!
I don't feel Oberto did any more than he was...or has been...capable of once he settled in as a Spur. He has carried himself with dignity and, my impression is that he is way knowledgable as a bb craftsman. Cudos to a qualify guy!
Oberto is el truth. The guy is just a warrior.
He just completed the best series by a Spurs center since Robinson retired. And it isn't even really close.
Just amazing play out of Oberto.
P.S.
Special props to Solid D. Including the Argentines on the forum, no one had Oberto's back all season more than him.
It's paying off :hat
Oh and special props to Fab for that dream shake move he unleashed.
Habricio Olajuwon.

Oberto has been great for the team! Keep up the good work!
Fabricio made it to USA Today .
that's #3 for the Spurs for signing non superstars to the team.
#1 Parker from France
#2 Manu from Argentina
#3 Fabricio
:tu for the Spurs management and scouts.
No #1 pick since Tim Duncan but we're still rolling to the NBA Finals. It's been 10 yrs.
Im awesome
Thanks timvp, but I didn't make him play well. :lolQuote:

I've loved Fabby since the very beginning. For some reason I always like his ugly style of basketball play. And I think he is a very smart player.
it´s fabri with an RQuote:

Hasn't Pop said all along he has the best ugly game he has ever seen?
He seems to always know where to be. And how many times did he tap the ball out last night for another possession?
He is playing great and I hope if we face Detroit, he will give Wallace fits.
Keep up the great work Fab.
Solid deserves mad props. He played the role of a scouter, pimping Oberto way before Oberto signed with the Spurs.Quote:

Oberto's contribution to winning this series can hardly be overstated.
His hustle, his rebounding made the difference in a series in which we badly needed both.
His smart cuts to the basket were fantastic.
Without him, I don't believe that we would have won this series.
He definitely deserves a standing ovation.
He was incredible.
He wants an NBA Championship and it appears that he will take it.
Go FAB!!!
:clap
Fab can create his own shot..run some plays for him..he CAN score..and not just putbacks and layups...
Oberto is a great scoring option when any of the big three find it difficult to get to the rimm. I prefer to see him penetrating rather than finlay or bowen.
The one play last night where he got an 'and 1' on the reverse layup behind his head looked so simple, when in reality it was not.
:clap :clap to fabulous fab
FABRIZIO= FABRI= FAB= FABULOUS!! :clap
Props to Fabricio too,he is a big part of this championship too, showing up in important games like last night.
Vamos Fabri Carajo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SCOLA next year!
We need more Argentines on the Spurs if they're going to be clutch like Manu and Fabby.
Oberto is the friggin MAN!!
I was soooooooooo inlove with him coming to the Spurs, but I gotta admit that after last year I was leary of him the begining of this season. stupid!
he's really settled in and become a powerhouse :tu
my fav 5: tim, tony, manu, bruce, Fabri :spin now thats a starting line up for the ages!
I just hope Oberto knows how much teh fans appreciate him!
BTW- anyone notice it takes about 1 wholeseason for any new guy on our team to really work themselves into our system? Oberto, finley, etc etc.... Is the Spurs way really so different then other teams that there is a one season learning curve?
Oberto has a really high basketball IQ, he's just not that physically talented. I like how any time he catches the ball he immediately runs towards the basket and then passes out. He recognizes the need to drive and dish, something most centers don't do. Guys like Nazr knew to dunk and then that's it.
Spot on!!!!!!!!! :clapQuote:

Perhaps the biggest compliment to Fab was the he was on the floor in crunch time of a finals game with the score very close, over a certain clutch backup power forward with 7 rings... and he kicked ass!
I have come to know about so many great Argentinian sportsmen: Kempes, Maradona, Ginobili, and the latest is Oberto!

Absolutely played out of his skin. Super effort and really complemented TD.

Is there any more info on weather he is going to opt out? And does he have until the 25 or the 1st to opt out?

He isn't saying that he definitely won't opt out. He said that he has a contract with San Antonio for next year, and his desire is to play it out.Quote:

In the CBA, it's written prior to the 25th.Quote:

Oberto would be doing the Spurs a favor if he doesn't opt out. He couldn't demand a huge amount of money, but someone would be willing to offer a multi-year deal. A team like Phoenix or Dallas would do so just to get him away from the Spurs.
now it would be cold to trade him
why not?the Mavs need a smart big man, lets give him to them for Dampier. :froQuote:
